Today's weather forecast...YUCK!!

with scattered showers and
thunderstorms.
High 90 (Heat Index to 100-degrees)
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, warm and muggy
with showers and thunderstorms. Low 73

Through a RAK (Random Act of Kindness)
on one of my Yahoo groups I saw a
person giving away free hearing aid
batteries. Said they got a good
deal at Walgreens and had stocked up
on them as a Christmas gift for their
grandfather. Well I guess her grandfather
passed way recently and she wanted to
pass along the batteries onto someone
else that could use them. I responded
and got chosen for them, yeah! They are
the exact size batteries I have been getting
for my step dad either at Walgreens or Ebay.
They usually run about $10 to $15 a pack!!
But of course I try to use coupons
combined with sales to get a better deal.

MAIL CALL

Yesterday I got 2 free samples of
Bullseye BBQ Sauce. I sent one with
Tony's lunch today with his chicken.

Also forgot to mention that I got
another FREE $25 gift card from Kroger.
Woo Hoo!
We received a total of $50 free in gift
cards for Kroger for signing up for
some kind of prescription survey.

I need 27.25 more points to get $100
in FREE gift cards from one of my
survey sites! It will have taken
me almost a year to do it but sure will
come in handy at Christmas time for
the boys at GameStop!

I also have 8 checks to deposit
from another survey site.
It's only $24 ($3 a survey).
But hey I'll take any free money I can get!
It all begins to add up over time.

Hey maybe tonight I'll be able to

LOL!!

Is cereal still a breakfast food
if it is mixed with butter and
marshmallows???

I went to fix the kids breakfast this
morning and realized we were out of
milk and eggs. So I decided to use
up some regular Cheerios that the kids
don't like (they like the Honey Nut kind)
and make Cheerio bars like Rice Krispy
Treats.

Years ago when we had W.I.C. and got
all those non sugared cereals that no
one would eat I would turn them into
breakfast bars like above. You could
add nuts, raisins, dried fruit and
what not to them to jazz them up.

Lucky for me this morning I was
able to find a stash of marshmallows
in the freezer. If you have opened
marshmallow you can freeze them to
help preserve their freshness.
Just thaw before using.
If not they will turn rock hard
if left out.

12:00PM

Since the Suburban seem to be running
well again it's time for me to head
back down to the basement and weed out
some more. Time to fill the back
end of the 'Burban up with crap and
haul it outta here!

What better place to be on a hot day
like today, the basement!

Plus with the 'Burban we will now be
able to do some DDn. I couldn't imagine
doing that with the tracker!
But it's been a half way decent lil
bugger with gas savings.
Still need to get the windows tinted.
But can't exactly do that when Tony
is driving it to work.

Drove by UV last night and all is
still quiet. Will check back this
weekend though. Let the rush begin!!

1:50PM

From weather.com

89°F
Feels Like: 106°

Details:
Severe storms are close to your location

I am in the basement and are wearing
a sweat jacket, lol.

Got 1 large box and 2 medium
sized boxes ready to go out
along with a fake palm tree.
Not done for today.
Taking a break to have a
late lunch.
Waiting to see if this storm
is gonna roll through our area.
Looks like it could stay North.

3:30PM

Got 2 large boxes and 4 medium boxes,
a palm tree, mirror and pillow to
lug out of basement. This is out of
my freezer storage room. Once I get
this room done I can move my other
storage boxes like crafts and what
not into this room and get it out
of the larger rec room area.

Gotta be in the right frame of
mind to start tossing stuff!
The more pissed off you get because
of cleaning crap around the house
the better!

Got my fingers crossed at the moment.
I saw an ad on Freecycle for
four 80 pound bags of quickrete.
This would be perfect for the fence
posts. And it would save some money.
Gonna sit back and keep hoping
they pick me for it!!!

If I got chosen the all I would
need is one more 40 pound bag
to do the back/side fence.

___________________________________

8:15pm

YEAH, YEAH AND DOUBLE YEAH!

I go pick up the free quickrete
bags tomorrow. They are only about
5 minutes from UV!!

Can you believe this?
FREE hearing aid batteries
and FREE concrete for the fence
all in one day!!

I'm loving it!!!!

Mom always said it seems if I need
something it falls straight in my
lap for free. I'm starting to
believe it.
Thank you God for helping us out
when needed!!

Yesterday I took a bookshelf out of
our bedroom. I temporarily put it in
the living room before taking it
to the basement. The animals have
taken it over!! This is what I found
this morning, LOL!

Lookie my new bunk bed for critters.

FYI, the bookshelf and both
tower fans were college move out
finds. One fan this year, one fan
last year and the shelf from a
couple years ago.
I think all our fans around here
were found. And I also found
one of those Ionic Breeze towers
last year.
Getting psyched for this year!

Garden goodies from yesterday.

Just got done giving the dog another
bath. She pretty much got a
flea and tick bath being Summer time
with more outdoor exposure and more
romps and rolls in the grass.

11:30AM

So much for our bedroom. I completely
transformed it into a man room for Tony.
It was either this or he was wanting
a curio to display all his NASCAR stuff
in our living room. So I opted for
a bedroom tucked away that can be
behind closed doors if need be.

Now I just stand back and think,
"what the hell have I done!"

Looks like a kids room, lol.
The boys are jealous and now
Jonathan wants to do away with
his baseball themed room and
go to a car room with old cars,
muscle cars and racing.
AHHHH! Not this year!!

I do have this wallpaper border
if Jonathan wanted it. BUT I ain't
doing it right now or this year!!

_______________________________

1:00PM

Just a heads up!!

Was in kitchen getting my chicken
prepped for the crock pot when Jonathan
said someone was out front tinkering
with our mailbox and looking in it.
I washed my hands
and went to have a look see.
It was a lady delivering the Yellow
Book Phone Book. She was down the street
by then. I had already gotten mail out
earlier when the mailman came so that
was good. I had my camera and was trying
to take a picture of her and the van
but the damn thing ended up with a
blurred picture trying to zoom in on it
and she was driving away.
Actually I did not see a plate on the
back of this dark blue conversion van.
But anyway I contacted Yellow Book
to make them aware of this situation
and am hoping to hear back from them.
THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED, NOR IS ANYONE ALLOWED,
OTHER THAN THE MAILMAN AND THE OWNER OF
THE MAILBOX, TO GET INTO YOUR MAILBOX
BY LAW!!!
Gonna go take another look at neighbor's
mail boxes to see if they were messed
with and left open. Didn't see
anything out of the ordinary.

When working at an apartment
complex they always tell you
to keep an eye out for suspicious
activity. To me this was suspicious.
There's too many people getting scammed,
having identity theft and checks
in the mail stolen.

1:30-2:00PM

Got the chickie in the crock.
Skinned 4- chicken breasts.
Coated with olive oil then
put a seasoned rub on it.
I greased some aluminum
sheets with butter
and placed chicken breasts in
center. Folded up the foil.
In the crock I placed a half
can of flat beer into the bottom.
Then, because I ran out of
aluminum foil, I crushed a few
beer cans and placed on the bottom
for the chicken to rest on.

6:00PM

Time for supper.
Chicken is so juicy!
Topped chicken with Habanero
shredded cheese and tomato slices.
Served with a side of corn
and spicy pasta.

Of course there was a kids
version to this, lol.
They had cheesy broccoli
rice, corn and chicken
was topped with sharp cheddar
cheese.

This evening after supper Tony went and
took a cat nap. I went out and put the
new rotor button, distributor cap and wires
on the truck along with hooking back up the air
hoses. He had no clue.
Truck runs like a champ
again, thank goodness, no more rough idle.
Went and put some more gas in the tank
and poured a half bottle of Sea Foam
Treatment in the tank.

Tony was so proud of me! Says he's
going back to work tomorrow to tell
the guys I fixed his truck, LOL!
This was easy stuff, bring on something
harder to do, lol.
I had a 75 Chevy pickup years ago with
a 350 motor also. I taught myself to work on it
through repair manuals. This Suburban
is pretty much the same thing with a few
add ons like anti-lock brakes and computers.

As you know I am not one who takes
very many OTC drugs or prescription
drugs unless absolutely necessary.
I'd rather try natural home remedies
first!

Everyone says I read too much!
How do you read too much? I thought
reading and becoming knowledgeable
about things was good for the brain.
Reading makes you aware of what
is going on around you that you
wouldn't normally have known
otherwise about. Those secrets
they keep from the public and don't
want you to know about.

How many doctors do you know of
offer holistic healing (home remedies
with herbs and other natural products)
instead of getting you to pop more
pills?? NONE! And do you know why?
They can actually get in trouble
for doing so.
You have to look for other places
outside any doctor's office or
hospital!

I can literally say that one of
our doctors was even against taking
vitamins!! It was a question I asked
when we discovered Tony had diabetes.
I thought he should start taking
a vitamin supplement and the doctor
said they don't do any good!
I went with my better judgment
and started him on vitamins anyway!

I do have a strong belief that a lot
of these pharmaceutical companies
do more harm than good.

How many law firm commercials are you
seeing on tv about recent drugs that
have hit the market and have caused
death, disabilities or birth defects?

How many commercials are you seeing
now that advertise prescription
medicines?

We didn't see this years ago on tv!
It's because drug companies
are getting away with way too much now!
Back then they were monitored more
closely! Now they have multi billion
dollar companies and pretty much
do what they want.

This is exactly what I am talking about!
Keep from being the next victim of
being a guinea pig for these
pharmaceutical companies.

Straight from Mercola, and I feel the same way!!

Another Reason to Take Control of Your Health

Drug companies are not looking out for you; they are looking out for their profits and they are now in full collusion and cooperation with the government. The government has long ago abandoned its role to protect you and your family from these pernicious forces, now they are partners in crime to pillage as much as they can from you and your family.

You need to understand that any corporation's primary and essential responsibility is to their shareholders -- NOT to you -- and the sooner you realize this, the better.

Drug companies have accumulated so much wealth, power and government influence that so far they have been able to largely escape any serious consequences that would prevent them from changing their ways.

So until real systemic change takes place, your best health strategy is quite simply to employ and maintain a naturally healthy lifestyle that will optimize your body’s innate healing abilities and minimize your need for the drug companies’ latest concoctions.

------------------------------

And here are some top drug stories for
today...

Studies Prove that These Drugs Make Your Brain Stop Working…

They include such common over-the-counter brands as Benadryl, Dramamine, Excedrin PM, Nytol, Sominex, Tylenol PM, and Unisom.

Other anticholinergic drugs, such as Paxil, Detrol, Demerol and Elavil are available only by prescription.

---------------------

And here is a remedy for the upcoming
cold and flu season.

It's pretty much a known fact
that all those OTC for colds
and flu do nothing for you!!
So here is an easy remedy to
PREVENT it this year.

Vitamin D is growing in popularity as a way to prevent flu. Current medical research has identified a correlation between seasonal Vitamin D levels and influenza. The more sun, the less illness. The less sun, the more flu. Research has also shown that vitamin D prevents respiratory infections in adults and children.
Lots of flu remedies provide flu relief, but Vitamin D actually prevents flu. It is especially effective at preventing respiratory illness making it a perfect flu medicine. Here's how to use vitamin D safely and effectively.
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Step 1

Buy the D3 form of vitamin D. According to the US National Institutes of Health, the D3 form of Vitamin D is much more effective than other types. In addition the Vitamin D council reports that other forms of vitamin D can cause hypercalcemia, very high levels of calcium in the blood, which can be dangerous. D3, however, is a safe flu remedies and does not cause hypercalcemia. D3 is available in 1,000 iu increments, over-the-counter, at pharmacies and other retailers. Larger increments of Vitamin D are more easily found online

VITAMIN D3 SUPPLIERS

Step 2

Take 5,000 iu of D3 per day, for adults, when healthy to boost the immune system and prevent flu. The Vitamin D Council recommends 1,000 iu for children under the age of 1 and 2,000 iu for children between the ages of 2-4 years. From the ages of 4 through 9 the suggested dose is 3000 iu. At the age of 10, children may take the adult dose of Vitamin D.

Step 3

Increase the D3 dose at the first sign of illness to 10,000 iu for adults. Higher doses have been used in human during medical studies without ill effects, but 10,000 iu is currently the highest recommended dose. However, if flu relief does not result after a few days, you may want to consider increasing the vitamin D dose. Consult a pediatrician for the correct dose for children. An alternative to taking a supplement would be to expose skin to the sun at midday for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4

Drink water while taking D3. While unconfirmed, there have been rare reports of kidney stones as a result of vitamin D supplementation. This can be avoided with adequate fluid intake to maintain proper hydration.

Step 5

Combine Vitamin D with other vitamin supplements known to boost the immune system. In particular, take zinc, vitamin C, vitamin A and vitamin E.

I have reserved 2 books at the library
about Vitamin D.

They are:

The vitamin D solution :
a 3-step strategy to cure our most common
health problem

I hate bill day and today is that day
for me. Hoping to get a bonus
from Tony's work but have been hearing
that for the past month or so. Still
got doctor bills to pay, a truck
to repair and
fence panels and cement to buy.
Money just flies outta here like it's
nothing. So feeling bummed as usual
when money starts dwindling down.
If need be I can find stuff during
the college move outs and sell stuff online
to get the bank account back up.
Plus have a few cars to sell. I hate
selling cars and dealing with people!
Tonight we're going out to dinner,
then have to stop by the parts store
then Kroger to get prescriptions.
Someone's always got their hand
out somewhere!

Well gotta take laundry down off
the line and hang up another load.
What are kids doing to go through
so many clothes in one week?
Are they magnetically attracted
to dirt and puddles?

Got a load of laundry taken off the line,
a load washed and put on the line
and a load in the washer.
Should have 1 more load to do.
I got a little behind and don't
think I got but 1 or 2 loads
done last week so am making up
for that this week.

Currently working on weeding out,
decluttering and cleaning our bedroom.
I have a large bookshelf that I want
to take out of our bedroom and relocate
to the basement. I think this would
make an excellent shelf to put
VHS movies on. I have a ton of those!

Eventually I will get back to the
basement. Right now I am working
on the upstairs. That way if I find
stuff that needs to go to the basement
it can go down there now. Then
I can figure out where everything
will go down there when cleaning.
Don't want any surprises in the end
trying to figure out where stuff is
to go.

Break time is over so back to the bedroom
or outdoors to check laundry.
Calgon take me away!!!!!!!!!!!

_______________________________

Homemade OxiClean

1 cup hot water
1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup baking soda

Mix together and soak laundry in it for 20 minutes to overnight and then wash as usual. Or you can just skip the water and pour the peroxide and baking soda directly into the wash with your laundry soap and wash as usual.

I seen that Sutherlands is having
a sale on their solar lights.
They have a 6 pack for $5.99.
That's $1.00 a light. They've
got to be better than those solar
lights I saw a Dollar Tree.

I want to put them on top the
fence panel posts going around the yard
for extra security.
Tony didn't like the idea
of drilling out the top of the posts
to set the stakes in there so I thought
about getting some U brackets
and putting the stake part
down inside that instead and screwing
them in the fence.

Supper at Texas Roadhouse was wonderful!
After we went to Advance Auto Parts.
Told the guy my step dad worked for them
and he ended up giving me a 20% discount
even though my step-dad wasn't there to
get it for us. Very nice guy! Saved like
$11. Got a rotor button, distributor cap
and a can of Sea Foam. Never heard of
Sea Foam additive before but saw it online
and read reviews. It was given a 5 star
rating, even the guy at Advance said it
was good. So tomorrow gonna give it
a try in the Suburban. It says it
helps rough idle and hesitation.
It's supposed to clean out carbon
and any other gook that might be
slowing an engine down.

Sunday, August 1, 2010

8-1-10

Been cleaning out the shed. That is
no fun task at all. Along with crap
that is laying around shed.
We've been putting metal stuff
out along the road. One scrapper
has been by twice now to pick
up the stuff. Makes our job easier
when they haul the crap away for
us for free, lol. That would
have probably been 2 loads to the
trash bin for us.

This morning I got the rest of
the shelves hung up in the bedroom.
In no time Tony had his car stuff
on them, lol.

Got a couple loads of laundry done
and hung out to dry. Had a problem
with my line falling, GRRRRR!
I think it had something to do
with neighbor kids pulling on it
as it NEVER fell last year.
This time around I used nylon
instead of rope so it won't bust!

Well lunch is almost done, then need
to run down to Speedway for some
cigs, hang another load of laundry
and help Tony more with getting
the shed weeded out and organized.

Kendra and Dewaine are supposed to
be out sometime today so I am
trying to hurry ourselves along
to make time for them.
Supposed to get cement in the
post holes today for the fence.
That would be good because I worry
about rain and kids bothering
the fence posts and being level
at the moment.

____________________________

4:55PM

Done with cleaning shed.
Got a Tracker full of crap to go out.
The later this week will borrow
mom's truck to haul out another
load of stuff from around the shed.

I got about 4-5 loads of laundry
done, hung on line to dry. Still
need to put away. Probably tomorrow
as I'm too pooped to pop at the moment.

Might do something easy for supper.
Thinking about a breakfast.
Maybe some potato cakes, sausage, bacon,
eggs, toast and fresh tomato slices.

Too much on the To Do list around
here and trying to accomplish
it all is rough. Slow and easy and
little by little.

Kendra and Dewaine couldn't make it
over today so we're looking at maybe
Tuesday eve to do it. Gonna try
to start on the panels Sunday.
Hoping to have the fence complete in the
next couple of weeks, that's including
the gate over the driveway.
Then next Spring put in 2 more gates,
2 parking pads and put in another garden.
Doesn't it sound like fun?
Never ending around here.

Tomorrow mom's taking us out to dinner
at Texas Roadhouse for our anniversary
which was 2 weeks ago. The reason being
is Tony was on call and has had to work
mandatory overtime a few times.
It gets hard finding time to do things.

Last night we took an evening drive
since it was nice out. Drove over to
UV and saw they had the big rental dumpster
out. That means move out time for college
students should be happening soon, in
the next couple of weeks.
That place will have at least 400 move
outs if not more by the end of August!
I look forward to this event all year
because it's like one big free for all!
The college students throw out so much
stuff it's crazy! And I'll be sure
to be there to swoop up on some goodies!

------------------------------

Thinking Inside the Motor Inside Columbus
LOL!
Becoming one with the motor to see
what the problem may be.

Hmmmm, could be a broken distributor
wire or spark plug wire, might change those.
May be the distributor button.
Might change that also.
Hoping to start out with small
stuff to see if that works
before going to major or more
expensive things!

Took the kids out this evening to
McDonalds to get a free smoothie
and me a free caramel frape.
YUMMY!
Went to McDonalds on Bethel Rd.
because they have an outside playground.

---------------------------

9:00PM

Just returned home.
Got laundry down off the line and
hung up another load to dry throughout
the night.
Gonna chill for the evening.
More laundry to do tomorrow
and more cleaning of our bedroom and putting
laundry away.

7-31-10

I was reading a post on Walgreen Facebook
site about who was getting a flu shot this
year and do you know that about 95% of all
the comments said NO! There was about 439
comments! I am so glad I am not the only
one that thinks flu shots can be unhealthy for
you. That's about like getting the H1N1 shot.
They freaked everyone out about that then it
dropped off the face of the earth and you
heard nothing more. They gave out free
shots for the kids at school. I DID NOT
have my kids get them. How fast did they
make these potions to inject people with
that they did not have very many
guinea pigs lined up to see if they did
work or even prevented the H1N1 virus???
AND do you actually know what kind of
contaminents they are injecting you with???
There was one company that was giving
away $10,000 to someone who could actually
prove that they did work. No one won
that money!!!

Maybe for some the flu shot works. But I
got a flu shot 13 years ago at work
and still ended up with the flu. They say the
flu shot cannot give you the flu.
But they can only guess as to what kind
of flu will be going around that year.
And if they guess wrong you can still
pick up another strain of flu!
I never got another flu shot again
and took my chances. Knock of wood,
I have yet to have the flu for the past
14.5 years!

Just take the ordinary precautions of hand
washing, taking vitamins and things of the
sort.

Well today I woke up and started

nothing new. With kids you could
still clean 24-7 and never get ahead.

Anyway got the living and dining
room tidied up, kitchen cleaned, dishes
washed up and carpet cleaned. Not the
greatest but it looks better than it
did.

Getting ready to head to the store
and to a parts store to get
the suburban on the scanner to
see if we can figure out what it's
problem is.

---------------------------

Back from getting the scanner put on
the truck. It said it was misfiring.
We'll no duh, we knew that it wasn't
running on all 8 cylinders at times.
So what is causing the misfire?
Does that little machine of theirs
say that, heck no!

Have you ever had them put one of
their scanners on your car?
How many times have they told
you oxygen sensors are at fault.
I think about every time we've done
it, it's said that. We know
it's not those sensors because
they are newer.
Wonder how many oxygen sensors
these stores sell in a year's time???

8:30AM

Going to yard sales this morning.
Afterwards will be working on
3 cookie recipes. Contest is open
through tomorrow so time is running
out!

Dewaine is supposed to be coming
home from the hospital today, yeah!
He keeps telling everyone that in
about 5 days he will be back over
here to finish up our fence!
Can you believe that???
I can't, especially after seeing
pictures of him after the accident.
I think he should take it slow
and easy for awhile. I just can't
picture him picking up 40 to 80
pound bags of cement or fence panels
or digging more post holes with
some fractured ribs!!

12:11PM

Just back from yard sales.
It sucked today.

We went to McDonalds for breakfast
and use two buy 1 get 1 free
sandwich coupons.
Then got the $1.00 large soft drinks.
The drinks still have the free
coupons on the for smoothies or frapes!

From yard sales I got:

X Large travel cup with lid .50 cents

women's wallet/change purse .5 cents

Toby Keith CD $1.00

Just finished making and
putting my first round of "cookies"
in the oven. Now I'm sitting back
and waiting.

Did get word that Tony's bonus
should be on his next paycheck.
That's good to know so I can
breathe a little easier!

Crap, I gotta go out and take pics
of the Trans Am. Tony's brother
was wanting to see it and says he
was interested in it. Not holding
my breath on this because he's probably
more talk than action.

Yesterday I pushed our bed over to the
wall more and took out my bedside table.
Now I have about 6 inches between the
wall and bed. Last night I was missing
a table to put a remote or my drink
on so came up with this idea.
I had an extra little wooden shelf
that I put about mattress level.
Works perfect for that small space!
The shelf even has a groove in it
where people would prop picture
frames up on it. If I had reading
material I could set it upright
and that groove could keep
my book/magazine from sliding off.

My "cookies"

And since I have already entered the recipe
I can now share it with everyone.

Caramel Apple Empanadas
makes 21 empanadas

1 package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
5 ounces cream cheese
21 ounce can of apple pie filling
1/4 cup caramel syrup
1 large egg
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In large bowl add sugar cookie mix. Cut in cream cheese until thoroughly combined.
If preferred you could use a food processor instead to combine
cookie mix and cream cheese.

Take 1 1/2 Tablespoon dough and roll into a ball. Place on lightly floured surface and using palm of hand flatten into a 4 1/2 inch circle. Carefully, using a spatula, move to a cookie sheet.
Do remaining dough the same way.

Spoon 1 teaspoon apple pie filling
into the center of the dough circles.

Spoon 1/2 teaspoon of caramel sauce on top of each one.
Using a pastry brush or fingertips, dip in water, and run along
edges of dough circles. Carefully fold dough over into half circles
and gently press edges together.

In a small bowl whisk together egg and 1 teaspoon of water.
Brush each top of the empanadas with the egg wash.

In another small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle over top the egg wash on each empanada.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.

Provide tips or variation ideas for making this recipe:

You could replace the apple pie filling with other fruit pie fillings.
Instead of the egg wash and cinnamon sugar,
you could glaze them with a combination of 1 cup confectioner's
sugar and 1-2 Tablespoon milk once they are baked. Either way, they
are delicious.
Can serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Share your inspiration for this recipe:

My family loves apples. I wanted to create a smaller apple pie type cookie
that wasn't so messy for my kids to eat. They are easier to pack in
lunches, and eat when on the go, when compared to a traditional apple pie.
My kids are hard to please and when they gave my recipe thumbs
up I knew I should enter it in the Betty Crocker Cookie Contest!

Kendra just sent some pics of Dewaine.
This is him leaving the hospital today.

9:30PM

Just finished up the yard.
Got the back yard mowed and Tony
weed whipped everything.
Then we proceeded to the front
yard and I trimmed 11 bushes.
Can't wait to see what the bushes
look like out on the corner since
I was trimming them in the dark, LOL!

Well gonna go and try to get the
feeling back in my arms and hands.
That bush trimmer has numbed everything!

12:00PM

Well it isn't looking like today will
go as planned. We were planning on having
Tony and his friend work on getting cement
around the posts this evening. Now they
are requiring all employees to have mandatory
overtime today. So who knows.

I am currently working on our bedroom
wiping it out. I am hanging those one
shelves I originally had in the kitchen,
in the bedroom. That way Tony has a place
to put all his car nick knacks.
Not fun at all getting them even
and spaced just right.
Took out a night stand
in there and pushed the bed over more
to give us a little more room
to maneuver around the closet area.
I don't think they designed these bedroom
with a queen or king size bed in mind.
I think a king bed would take up that
whole bedroom!
A lil squishy but tolerable with a queen bed.

12:30PM

Tony and Randy came over to check out the
fence. All I can say is that Dewaine
and myslelf were on the same page.
He understood what I was wanting to do.
I'm about ready to google some do-it-
yourself videos and me and Tony can just
wing it with what Dewaine has told me so far
about fencing. Dewaine probably thought
I was a bother watching him do what he's
done so far but I was learning
as he did it. So maybe between me
and Tony we can do the fence/gate
and posts across the drive way.

1:10PM

Just got done mowing the front and side
yards. Whew it's warming up, but I think
it's just me sweating. I would have mowed
it earlier like I wanted but Tony had
the key on his key chain. Good thing
he stopped by today on his lunch hour
so I could unlock the shed to get the mower.

5:20PM

Working on pulling supper outta
the crock. Put a deer tenderloin,
a can of tomato sauce, 2 packets
of brown gravy and some onion
seasoning in there and have had it
cooking on high for about 5 hours.

Neighbor kids have been in and out
and in the yard most of the day.
Had a teenager kid ask
me if we owned guns because
there is a Rifle Association
sticker on our screen door outback.
My answer was, that's for burglers
to find out. I left the question
up in the air. We have nothing
more than BB guns, baseball bats
and a ferocious dog (LOL) but with a sticker
like that on the door it will make
you wonder. Hey it was a cheap
form of security. I think I got
an advertisement in the mail
wanting us to sign up for the Rifle
Association. Don't know why or how
we got it but inside was a sticker.

I forgot to mention this from yesterday,
We stopped in McDonald's to get a large

for a free smoothie or frape!!

Called Kendra at 7PM Dewaine just got
back to his room from recovery.
The novicaine in his face was starting
to wear off and he was feeling
a little pain. But it all sounds
like it went well. Now will start
the healing process. Not sure when
he will be able to come home from OSU.
So far he's been in there 3 days.
