Can't afford the high prices of school pictures
then check out this deal at Walmart.

Are you desperately in need of some new photos of the kids or of the family? If so, consider making an appointment at the PictureMe Photo Studio located inside your local Walmart store. Currently, most PictureMe Studios are offering a 30 portrait package for only $7.99 (this one-pose package includes 1 8×10, 2 5x7s, 4 3.5x5s, 8 wallets and 16 keepsakes; also keep in mind that the $7.99 fee is for one person with each extra person in the photo costing another $5). To snag this $7.99 offer, head on over here and click on the “special offers” tab. And the deal gets even better! Check out this email below that I received from reader, Autumn…

Hi Collin! I have a pretty sweet deal to share with you and your readers. Have you ever heard of PictureMe Portrait Studios located in most Walmarts? Well if so, then you’re probably familiar with the “One-Pose Package” they offer that includes over 30 photos of the same pose for $7.99 (and sometimes it even goes on sale for $4.99). Well, I know how you can take that deal and make it even sweeter. Go in, get your one-pose package done for $7.99 (+ $5.00 for each additional person in the photo) . Once paid for, they will give you a code to view and purchase all of the poses (not just the one pose you selected, but all of them) online at myonlineportraits.com. And this is where the magic happens. Not only does myonlineportraits.com offer FREE enhancements on all online orders (the studio charges 5.00 extra per sheet for these), but there is also a code (2FREE6) you can use at checkout for 2 free sheets, no minimum purchase required! And the shipping on these sheets is only $3.99! So basically you are getting $20.00 worth of photos for $3.99. And when you combine that with your one-pose package you’re only paying a little over 12 bucks for everything!! I don’t think you can find a cheaper deal on professional pics anywhere! And don’t forget you get FREE enhancements on those two sheets! In the end, I scored 4 free sheets because my hubby created an account with his credit card and got another 2 free (the site gives you the ability to share your photos with others who can then purchase sheets as well). This is definitely a great deal for those of us moms who just don’t have a whole lot of money to spend on professional photos and I hope everyone enjoys it and gets some beautiful pictures done!

This morning me and mom went to Meijer
and got a small amount of groceries.

11:50PM

Think I'll go carpet clean some areas
in my living room that need tended to
thanks to a dog.
At Meijer I got some Mr. Clean pourable bottles
for a buck each.
This is my favorite to use in the carpet cleaner.
I haven't had any in quite some time
so am anxious to clean with it once again!
I actually like it better than the Lysol
but beggars can't be choosers
when it comes to price.
I had a ton of Lysol pourables I have been
using that I got for .50 cents each.

12:15PM

Got living room carpet cleaned.
It sure smells better in here.
The Mr Clean is orange scented
and has Febreez in it.

Stomach ache seemed to of gone
away today thank goodness!
But today I woke up with a headache.
I can't win.

I got something easy for supper tonight.
Meijers had Freschetta pizzas normally $5.98 each
on sale for $4.00.
I had $1.00 coupons which made them $3.00 each.
So tonight we're having 2 pizzas.
I saved almost $6 on them!
Still lots cheaper than ordering
from a pizza place at $20 for 2.

12:45PM

Well I just won a new battery from Ebay
for Tony's phone.
I'm so tired of these phones not working
and won't hold a charge.
Don't want to buy any more phones at
the moment so am going the route
of trying a new battery.
If I had bought this battery from Sprint
I'm sure it would have ran $20-$30 if not more!
Ebay cost was $3.98 with free shipping!
It pays to shop around to save money.
Next I might find a battery for her
phone to save them from buying another phone.

Well I think I am going to go lay down.
My head still hurts.
Tony just called and said he will
be getting off at normal time.
I sure will be glad when his property inspection
is over with because this crap of
working til 7PM and having to be
at work an hour early at 7AM is for the birds!!

--------------------------------

This is just a end of the month printable coupon reminder. Be sure to print out the coupons from SmartSource, RedPlum, and Coupons.com before the end of this month. They may be gone after this month or reset for next month for even more savings!

------------------------------

Hurry, only a few days left
to print your coupons to save up to $60 on Pillsbury

------------------------------

Be sure to check your snail mail.
Kroger is sending out another go round of coupons.
I received 12 of them today.

----------------------------

Get a free bottle of John Freida
Root Awakening shampoo or conditioner
.
I'm still trying for this.
Seems to have a server issue
when I click on the link
to claim coupon.

------------------------------------
(Hip2Save)
.
Toys R Us has a new $5 off $25 printable in-store coupon available here, valid thru 10/3! (Thanks, Coupon Connections NW!) You can use this coupon to sweeten all the Toys R Us deals I posted about here. Here’s one idea to get ya thinkin’…

*Buy 2 Hasbro Strawberry Shortcake Berry Cruiser RC on sale for only $14.99
Total = $29.98
Use the $5 off $25 Toys R Us coupon found here
Use 2 $10/1 coupons from the 9/26 Play-Saver coupon insert (not all areas received this insert)
Final cost ONLY $4.98 total– just $2.49 each!

------------------------------------

.

You can score a pretty sweet deal on Goya Bean at Walgreens this week….

*Buy 6 15 oz Goya Canned beans
Use the Goya Canned Bean 15.5 oz 2/$1 Walgreens coupon found here
Plus, use 2 $0.75/3 coupons found here
Final cost only $0.25 per can!

Can't believe I found a deal on beans!
I was just thinking some homemade
chili in the crock pot sounded good.
The only problem I found with the deal
above is that Walgreens coupon says
limit 4.
so .50 cents x's 3 is $1.50
minus .75 cents off 3 cans
makes it .75 cents for 3 or .25 cents each.

So tomorrow I will check out this
deal along with the Wet N Wild makeup!

---------------------------------

Printable Family Dollar coupons

& even more coupons for Family Dollar

-------------------------------------

Buy One Get One Free 8-Count Box of Sunbelt Fruit and Grain Bars
(when you buy one box of equal or greater value-to $2.19)

So this looks like you can print
as many coupons as you want considering
it is in PDF format!!

----------------------------------

$1 off One Package of Double Stuf Oreo Heads or Tails
Facebook Coupon

Ex. 30 days from print
Play the Oreo Double Stuf Heads or Tails Game
Win or lose you can print the coupon.

--------------------------------

Did another survey for Opinion Outpost.
Now at $34.00!

-------------------------------

Tip for school lunches:

Instead of buying individually
packed snack items such
as applesauce buy the larger
jars and spoon into reusable
containers. It's much cheaper that way..
And don't buy the snack sized bags
of veggies or fruits.
It's cheaper to purchase the veggies
and cut them up!
Buying canned fruit is also cheaper
to use in reusable containers.

------------------------------

.

Yay!! This high value coupon is available again! Go here to print a coupon valid for $4 of any 2 Benadryl Products (excludes trial sizes). The Benadryl Itch Relief sticks are priced around $2.28 at Walmart and Target, so just $0.28 each after the coupon!

--------------------------------------

(deal seeking mom)

There are two new Ronzoni Pasta printable coupons that could score you FREE pasta with a sale depending on how high your store doubles:

We've seen this priced at $1 at Meijer and Kroger recently, so watch for the sale to roll back around!

-----------------------------------

Today at Meijer I got caramel vanilla
flavored coffee creamer FREE.
While I don't drink coffee I think
it would taste wonderful in a mug
of hot chocolate!
Doesn't that sound good with
this chillier weather we're having?
I've been thinking about having a cup.

I also stocked up on 4 Chex Mix snacks
at .50 cents each.
I still have about 3 bags in the pantry
I paid the same amount for
Skip buying those individual snack
chips for kids lunches.
It is much cheaper to buy the larger bags
and divide it up into zip loc bags or reusable containers.

Tonight we had frozen pizzas.
The leftovers are going into the kids lunches
for tomorrow.
I'm sure they get bored with peanut butter
and jelly or bologna and cheese sandwiches
so I try to give them a variety of things.
I give them things like spaghetti, pizza rolls,
Spaghetti O's, meatloaf and so on.
If I get a couple days ahead with Tony's lunches
I give the kids the leftovers from supper for their school
lunch the next day.

----------------------------
.
.
Don't this sound good?
Skip Starbucks and head over
to Speedway to get a 16 oz. cup of
pumpkin spice cappucino or iced coffee for .99 cents

--------------------------

Does Walmart give you a hard
time using coupons, especially printed coupons.
Here is their coupon policy
you can print out and carry with you
when you shop!

-----------------------------

7:35PM

Cell phone rings in kitchen and Tony answers it.
It's Jonathan calling from the house phone in
his bedroom.
He says, "I need room service.
Can you bring me something to drink?"

I'm telling ya, what will they think
of next? Me and Tony thought it was funny!

FYI

Halloween for Columbus, Pataskala & Reynoldsburg
is Thursday October 28th 6-8PM

---------------------------

I took a survey to possibly get picked
to host a house party.
I've never signed up for a house party
before so we will see how this goes.
It is for Folgers Special Roast Coffee
and Land O Lakes Half N Half.
So if I should get chosen friends
and family are invited!
It would be October 23rd so will
let you know if I get chosen.

Want to sign up to become a
House Party member?
Go HERE!

I've gotten quite a few invitations
from them but never signed up
for one til now.
I figured a lot of people liked
coffee so why not!

-------------------------

Now we are thinking that the batteries
in the phones are fine that the house battery
charger isn't working right.
Doing a test run with a car
charger at the moment.
So back to Ebay to search for
a house charger.
I found a new one for $2.84 BIN
free shipping.
I checked on Sprint and they
want $35 for a car charger!!
They didn't have a house charger.

Even though I just won a battery
for $3.89 it's all good.
I have 3 identical phones I can use it in!

9-27-10

8:00AM
This morning I plan to head on over
to the thrift store to see if I can find
me an outfit and possibly another
gift for the wedding Saturday.
It's an outside wedding so not
sure if I should find a dress or pants.

Remember that the last Wednesday
of the month for Ohio Thrift Stores
is 50% off day.
That's this Wednesday!
I prefer to go on a normal day
and not deal with the crowds!
I prefer to get in and get out.
Not deal with someone who has
a cart, overflowing like Mount Everest, with clothes
in front of me!

Won't do any grocery shopping today.
Probably tomorrow.

My entire grocery list for whole week!

7- 2 liters pop $5.60
Milk $2.00
Corn Flakes $1.67
4 four packs yogurt- FREE
4 coffee mates- FREE
4 Combos- $2.00
TOTAL: $7.67

-----------------------------

12:00PM

Back from thrift store.

Found me a long slightly glittery
gray sleeveless dress with sweater
for only .75 cents
It was $2.99 marked 75% off!

Then of course I had to find shoes
because I'm not even sure I have
a pair of dress shoes.
I found these to go with the dress
for $3.99.
Didn't like the price but it
was the only pair I found to match the dress.
Guess I can't complain to spend
$4.74 for an outfit for a wedding.
Then another $1.00 for Tony's shirt.
.
..Then I found 2 Halloween outfits
for the kids at $1.99 each.
$3.98 for 2 kids ain't too bad
considering I just saw an Avatar costume
at Kroger yesterday for $35!!
Kids don't care, it's all about the candy!
.
.
I found a little trinket box.
It's a big Kiss
that plays kiss music.
Like, This Kiss by Faith Hill
and Kiss is on my List by Hall & Oats
along with one other song.
.
.I found a baggie with 2 candle
rings in it for .90 cents.
I plan to take apart the berries
and use them on top of some washcloth
gifts I want to make for Christmas for people.
Like this below.
.
.Here's an ideas I had
for a wedding gift.
Could pick these items up from Dollar Tree.
Get some matching fabric place mats,
potholders, dish towels and kitchen utensils & ribbon
to make the last 2.
For the top one all you need is
washcloths, flowers, ribbon and cupcake papers.
.
..
Got home and found a $5.00 check in my mailbox!
Woo Hoo.
This is from Neilson for a survey I did.
Any free money is good money!!
.
.
I also found a large piece of fleece at
the thrift store today for .90 cents!
I've printed out the patterns for
the sweater mittens and
will make the boys each a pair.
.
.------------------------------------

3:30-4:00PM

Gave my step-dad a hair cut.
I'm starting to feel like a traveling beautician, lol.

4:10PM

Jonathan trying his costume on.
.
.
Tony says he has to work over tonight
til 7:00PM.
The big wigs are coming to inspect
the property tomorrow.
Was supposed to of been today.

Tonight's supper:

2 Hamburger Helper 4 Cheese lasagna $1.00
1 pound hamburger .12 cents
1/2 carton cottage cheese .50 cents
1 cup mozarella cheese .50 cents

TOTAL COST $2.12

-----------------------------

5:30PM

Started cutting out the patterns
for 2 pairs of mittens for the boys.
I used the size large child/small adult.
I might have enough fabric left over
to make 2 scarves and 2 hats to match.
.
Later on this evening might work on sewing
these together then look
for a pattern to make some hats.

The good thing with using fleece
is that the pattern is printed on
both side so need to flip pattern
pieces over when tracing and cutting out.

5:40PM

Getting started on supper.

6:15PM

Supper is cooking on stove.
Got dishes put away out of dishwasher
and reloaded it and have it going.
Then a knock at the door by the
three amigos looking at the Explorer.
They had a translator because
no comprende no habla ingles.
I know Mexicans when it comes
to vehicle buying, thank goodness,
because Tony is not here.
I did good talking car talk
and car parts and what was wrong
with it so they knew I was knowledgeable
about cars and not a complete idiot like
some may think I am.
I'm pretty sure I know where they live,
when they said right up the street,
since there are like 10+cars parked out
in front of their place with some that
are siding trucks. Mexicans have big families
and live in numbers in one residence.
The translator asked me if I would go any
lower on $900 and I told him NO!
I said that price reflects the problems
with the truck because if I had it fixed I
could probably get $1700 out of it.
And that's what I said!
I also know Mexican are good mechanics
and work on their own cars!
Go to Pick N Pull and see how
many of them are there getting car parts.
I have sold about 2-3 of our vehicles
to Hispanics and they will try to jew
you down no matter what price
may be on the window!
So I am standing my ground.
They are coming back tomorrow
because the truck's battery is dead
thanks to my lovely children who
didn't shut a door all the way
leaving the dome light on.
That's not the way to sell a car!
Ahhhh!
I really need to brush up on some Spanish.
I took it in school.
I would love to be able to talk
to these people and know what
the heck they are translating or
saying to one another.
Just like a couple weeks ago
a Hispanic wanted me to help
him with the ATM machine.
He didn't speak English and I didn't speak
Spanish so we didn't get very far.
The sign language wasn't working!

6:35PM
Well back to getting supper
finished up.
Tony's still not home.

7:00PM

Supper's done.
4 cheese lasagna hamburger helper
with cottage cheese, diced tomatoes,
mozarella shredded cheese.
Bread & butter.
.
My stomach isn't feeling the greatest
so will wait til Tony gets home to possibly eat.
So for the mean time will work
on sewing up some gloves.

7:45PM

Eating just a little supper.
Tony just got home.
Belly don't feel good so here
in a few I might head to bed
and watch some Ghost Whisperer
and go nigh nigh.

All I can say is thank goodness
for Wall-E being on because
this has been the quietest the kids have been
in quite some time!

-----------------------

Buenas noches, duerme bien, no dejes que la enfermedad pulmonar!

9-12:20PM

Got up and made biscuits & gravy
and eggs for breakfast.

Then worked on the above
coupon match ups.

Just got back from Kroger not long ago.

Started laundry and are working
on bringing a dresser up from
the basement to put in Jonathan's room.

Got 2 more sets of tarts made from
my green candle. Washed out potpourri pot
and now have some scented pink candle wax
melting to do some rose shaped tarts.

---------------------

1:15PM

Got a load of laundry hung up on line
and another load in the washer.

Brought up the drawers from a dresser.
Now need to bring up the
dresser itself.

Cleaned out fridge of any science projects.

Took the pink melted wax and poured
it into rose molds.
Now have a slightly pinker candle
wax in the pot and will do some hearts next.

My internet is s....o s....l....o....w today!!

Later on will work on getting some
coupons printed.
That's providing the internet
speed kicks it up a notch!

-------------------

5:00PM

Just served supper.
Had chicken dipped in
a mixture of teriyaki sauce and
parmensean dressing
then into cornflakes.
Sides:
Baked beans
Macaroni & Cheese
Corn on the cob

.

Got 2 lunches packed up for Tony.
1 with chicken breast
and the other with a mini meatloaf.

With my other extra mini meatloaf
I decided I would make the
kids meatloaf sandwiches for lunch tomorrow.
..

Dessert:
mini cheesecakes

I made up a batch of gingerbread cookie
dough and put tablespoonfuls
into cupcake wrappers and pressed down
with a glass dipped in sugar.
Baked.
Then removed from oven
and topped with some cream cheese filling.
Baked again.
They now are in fridge cooling.

Next I will melt some white chocolate
on top and sprinkle toffee bits on top.

------------------------------

5:20PM

Well time to get back to laundry.
After the first load I started using the dryer.
The temperature outside wasn't drying
the clothes fast enough for me
to get several loads done.

Then once that's done I'll
work on getting the kids lunches
packed for tomorrow
and finish up my mini cheesecakes.

7:00PM

Just got done putting the chocolate
on top of the cheesecake.
Didn't take no time for it to harden
considering the cheesecakes
had been refrigerated.
Made a total of 24 mini cheesecakes
along with 9 gingerbread cookies.

2 are missing from this pic
because me and Tony had to taste test them lol.

This is something I just made up
with the things I had in the pantry & fridge.

5:30-7:00PM

Got Jonathan's room swept
and part of hallway.
Put my stuff away from yard sales.

grass cut and sucked up any leaves
with leaf blower (it's a leaf sucker in reverse).
While supper was cooking
I decided to start making
shaped tarts, like candles without
the wick.

Ate supper. It was yummy like
something from Tee-Jays!
Love the down home cookin!
Each mini loaf was 2 servings
so this meal served 8.

Have an old sweater you don't want anymore?
Turn it into sweater mittens!
I don't see why you couldn't also
use fleece type fabric to make these.
Go HERE for instructions
and patterns.
There's patterns for:
infant- does not include thumb
small child,
medium child,
large child/small adult,
adult regular

-------

With Winter around the corner,
you may want to start making
scarves, hats and gloves.
Fleece is about the best fabric to use.
BUT it can be expensive to buy.
JoAnns has it from $4 to about $15 A YARD!!
This week at Walgreens with a coupon
from their sale's flier
you can get a fleece blanket that's 50" x 60"
for only $1.99!!
That's about 1.38 yards!
So if you really wanted to make
your own Winter gear this would
be the route to go for buying fabric.
Unless of course you could find a cheaper
fleece blanket at the thrift store but
I think it would run about the same price.

Just popped out the first batch of
tarts. They're not too hard to make.
I already melt my candles in a potpourri
pot so I just spooned the melted wax
into the molds and allowed them to harden.
This was a trial run so I just used
the wax I already had in the pot.
Tomorrow will clean the pot out
and put in some pink smelly candles
and make them into rose shaped tarts.

Hit a couple yard sales this morning which sucked!
The only thing I bought was
3 bike tires with inner tubes for $3.00!
Got these to put back for the kid's bikes for spares.
Inner tubes can run $7-$10 each new!
The 3 tires, brand name Tioga Psycho II, runs
from $34 to $54 NEW
!!
So you see why I picked these up for $1.00 each,
tire with tube!!
I get the kids cheap bikes to ride.
When I only pay $7-$20 for each bike
I'm not spending another $20 or more
on inner tubes and tires for them!
Stopped in Infinity .99 Cents Store
looking for beads. While I found
beads I did not find sizes or colors I liked
and did not get any.

I did get some incense sticks for .99 cents a pack.
Usually I think incense sticks smell like burning
wood but there is one, out of them all, I think
has a really good smell and it is
Gonesh Sticks #8 Perfumes Of Spring Mist.
I also picked up Black Cherry to give it a try.

I also got a bottle of liquid smoke for .99 cents.
Never used it before but have seen it in allot
of recipes so figured I'd give it a try.
I can marinade some of my chicken
in zip bags with a little liquid smoke.
Sounds good anyway. Gives it
a grilled taste.

And I got a 2 liter bottle of Diet Pepsi and Diet Dew
for .79 cents each.
.
.
Before coming home we stopped in
Long John Silvers/A&W to eat.
I got a fish sandwich and a
root beer float for $1.59!!
I used my free coupon to get the
$2.19 float free!
Mom also got a free float
with her order of the exact thing also.
.
.
12:55PM

Don't know why but I am really tired today.
My eyes are burning and hurting so
definitely getting a nap in today
before the weekend!!

Don't feel the greatest.
Belly has been hurting,
have made 5 potty breaks today
and my hip joints are hurting like crazy
especially when walking.
Along with that I have developed a
rash underneath a boobie
and a couple areas of chest/breastbone
hurt really bad to the touch!
I don't know what all this crap is about
so will try to take it easy tonight.
Just popped a D3 and a couple Ibuprofens.
Boy it sure is windy outside!
Lots of sticks need cleaned up outta the
back and side yards. Not today though!
Got some rain moving in but
it appears to be breaking up once
it hits the outerbelt.

Boy those ibuprofen didn't do a darn thing.
Still feeling pain in leg sockets.

Tomorrow I would like to hit a few more
yard sales in search of a wedding gift
for next weekend. Mom said she'd watch the
kids while we attended that in Logan.
Next week will probably have to make
a trip to the thrift store to find something
to wear. My wardrobe consist of casual
wear and nothing fancy. Not even sure
if Tony can fit into his dress pants
or if he'll need another pair
and possibly a dress shirt without stains, lol.
So you see why I get flustered when
people tell us stuff at the last second with
no warning.

Tomorrow I guess Tony told the boys
we'd take them metal detecting.
So might head over to Hoover to do that.

7:45AM

I don't have plans of going anywhere today.

Will come home from the bus stop and give myself
a hot oil treatment.
The hair salon recommended one before
coloring my hair again.
So I will be doing a homemade treatment.
I am using canola oil.
Canola or olive oil is the best.
Plus I read it helps those who may
have dandruff problems by moisturizing
the scalp.

Directions:
Pour about 1/4 cup canola or olive oil
into a coffee cup and put in microwave
15 seconds.
Using fingers, apply to hair.
I also used a comb to thoroughly comb it in.
Once done wrap hair in a towel for about 30 minutes.

My step-dad's jaw dropped when I told him
what I was doing with my hair! He says you know
they make hot oil treatments for your hair you can buy.
I said I know. But why pay for something
when you have the ingredients already in your kitchen.
He still couldn't believe I was putting
Canola or Olive oil on my hair!
Guess I'll have to show him it works just
as good if not better!

9:30PM

Hair's all done.
I washed twice with shampoo afterwards
then conditioned as usual then dumped
a half can of flat beer on hair then rinsed.
I know I look like Thing, lol, but I brought
down my long bangs to show you how
clean, shiny and less frizzy it is!
.
.
10-10:30AM

Decided to reorganize my freezer in the kitchen.
It's become a danger zone.
You carefully open up the door for
fear of something falling out and landing
on one of your toes!

Freezer containers are the best route to go!
They stack nicely and can be picked up
at yard sales for very cheap!
I got mine for .10 or less.
Or even with coupons and sales
you could pick up a pack for about .50 cents.

So I removed everything from the freezer
and put most things in those freezer
type containers. Ahhhh, sigh of relief!
Nothing is falling out or hidden.
Don't ya hate when you don't know
what is in your freezer?
Reorganize and do an inventory sheet
and post in on the front of you fridge with a magnet.
Cross it off when you use it up.

BEFORE
.
.
AFTER
.

Not only do I use the plastic containers
in the freezer, but on the shelf as well
for leftovers like chips, popcorn, cookies, cereal,
& baked goods.
Why have all these boxes or crumpled up
bags taking up space in the cupboard
when you now can have an easy view storage system
that shows how much you really have of something.
I set some of these on the microwave
so the kids know what snacks are available.
Even if it's a little bit of cereal not
enough to have a bowl of.
They can now eat it as a snack instead.

..
And another tip I have for getting
the most out of expensive trash bags-
Instead of throwing empty boxes from
food into the trash can whole,
tear them up!
You can get more trash in those bags
now instead of wasting them up
with these boxes taking up more space!
Here's an example of a cereal box
tore up, takes up less space
than if I had put the whole box in the trash can!
.
.
10-11:00AM

Trying to decide what to make for supper tonight.
Thinking about a Breakfast Potato Casserole.

I found a bag of hash browns in the freezer (free).
I can add a box of
Betty Crocker Cheesy Hashbrowns .50 cents, uncooked,
to stretch it further.

then mix in:
1/3 cup chopped onion .10 cents,
1/4 cup chopped green bell peppers .05 cents,
1/2 pkg bacon, fried & crumbled .25 cents,

Beat 5 eggs .12 cents and a cup of milk .12 cents,
salt & pepper,
then pour over potatoes.

Top with a cup of shredded cheese .50 cents.

Bake at 350 degrees
for 35 to 40 minutes.

Then will make Broccoli Salad-

6 small heads of broccoli .60 cents
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, .50 cents
couple pkts Splenda .04 cents,
1-2 tablespoons vinegar,
1/2 pkg bacon, fried & crumbled .50 cents
1 cup mayo .25 cents

TOTAL COST FOR SUPPER:
$2.91

Don't know how much it serves til I make it all.

How often should you change your oil?
And you thought it was every 3,000 miles!
Save more money now by getting oil
changes done about twice a year!!
This is providing your car is about 7-8 years old
and you don't drive but around 20,000 miles a year.

This next tip is from Edmunds.com

How Long Between Changes?
Even the automakers can't agree on the correct oil-change interval.
While 3,000 miles between oil changes has long been promoted as cheap insurance, some auto manufacturers and environmentalists are recommending 10,000 miles or longer.
The full answer lies with how you drive.
If you rarely drive farther than 10 miles at a time (which doesn't get the oil hot enough to boil off moisture condensation) or you start your car frequently when the oil isn't hot (which is when most engine wear occurs), you need to change oil more often: at least twice a year, even if that's every 1,000 miles.
But if your daily commute is 20-plus miles of steady flatland freeway, don't be afraid to go as far as your vehicle maker recommends.

Here's an idea for when freezing chicken,
or even beef and pork-

Mix marinade in a freezer ziploc bag, add the chicken
pieces, and freeze. When you're ready to cook it, put the bag in the
refrigerator and the chicken will marinate as it defrosts. Then all you have to
to is bake or grill it. The same idea can be used with pork or beef..

Started washing up a few more

Got one large comforter
and a sheet hung on line to dry.
Got another load going.
-------------------------

I recommend replacing all your old bulbs
with newer fluorescent ones to save money.
My honey gets them from work free and saves us
allot money by doing so. When he turns over an
apartment he is required to remove any
fluorescent bulbs a resident has put in
and left behind, with regular bulbs.
So we have a good stock of these bulbs at
the moment and will probably never have
to buy any for quite some time.
I've even got mom to change over
her bulbs with the freebies I've gotten.

4:30PM

Got 2 more blankets hung on the line
and supper made and in the oven.
Should be done by the time Tony gets home.
Also got another load going in washer
of towels.

I'm thinking about making bracelets for Halloween
for the kids classrooms.
Do it in colors of Halloween like
yellow, black and orange.
Use rubber bands by cutting
and stringing beads on them.
Then tie off the ends.
Kinda like this picture below minus
the dangles or lettering.
I think the only dollar store I have found to carry
a variety of pony beads is at Northern Lights.
So there is yet another project I need to do,
make about 50-60 of these things.
I'm hoping it would cost around $4
to make them all!
What else is there to do when
you are not allowed to send in
food or treats for the kids???

New e-coupon policy at Kroger!
Found this out at Deal Seeking Mom.

Kroger has recently changed their digital coupon policy.

Previously, Kroger allowed stacking of certain digital or eCoupons and a paper coupon. A couple of months ago Kroger added all of the eCoupons available from Cellfire, Shortcuts and P&G eSaver mixed in with the Kroger eCoupons. This created a lot of confusion since there is no way to tell which eCoupons are Kroger coupons and which are provided by other sites.

Kroger has now added to the Digital Coupon Rules stating that eCoupons and paper coupons can no longer be stacked.

The Wording from Kroger:

Can I use paper coupons as well as digital coupons on the same item?
Limit of one coupon per item. Digital coupons and paper coupons may not be combined on the purchase of a single item.

Remember that eCoupons do not double. Most of the time your best bet is to use a paper coupon that will double for the most savings.

_______________

5:30-8:00PM

Let's see-
ate supper,
put a load of towels in washer then in dryer,
that's right I said dryer.
I needed towels now and can't wait for them to dry on the line.
I used up what towels I had tonight when
washing and rewashing the dog, yuck!
I had to clean out tub and bath area.
Then I took myself a shower.
Kids got homework done.
Got Tony's lunch packed for tomorrow
and got leftovers put away.
Told kids they could have those as
after school snacks tomorrow when
they got home.
Now I need to pack their lunches for tomorrow,
get them in the shower to get squeaky clean
for school pictures tomorrow
and find some nice shirts for them
to wear for pictures.
They each chose a flag type background
for their pictures.
So need to find something that is of
a solid color.
Still have to give Tony a hair cut,
fill out picture forms and write
out a couple checks for them.

Does anyone ever feel like there
is never enough hours in a day to get
things done?

____________________

9:00PM

Almost got everything done.
Still have lunches to pack for the kids.

Ahh, it was hurting writing checks for
school pictures which totaled $78.00!!
OUCHER!!

Gave Tony a hair cut.

Then Tony just tells me we are invited
to his co-workers wedding NEXT WEEKEND!!
Boy, sure would be nice to have had a
wedding invitation!
And to be told more than a week before
when the wedding was!
I have 1 week to figure out
a wedding gift that we can afford!
So there's another unexpected expense.
Let's hope I find some good yard sales tomorrow!!
As if this is bad enough wait til I have
to ask mom tomorrow if she could
watch the kids next Saturday so
we can go to it, Ahhhh!
And they are getting married in Hocking Hills.
Which I don't mind as I LOVE it down
there but we have to figure in travel time
down there and back so who knows
what time we'd get home!
Knowing my luck Proctor and Gamble
would call to see if I could go to Cincinatti then!

Running around like a chicken with it's
head cut off!!

Well I need to get kids to bed since it is their
bedtime. Then start packing their lunches.

10:00PM

Kids lunches are packed and ready to go.

I had a few moments to chill so decided
to look for some yard sales on Craigslist.
Pretty desperate for some at the moment
considering I need a wedding gift now!!

10:45PM

Heading to bed.
I'm too pooped to pop!
