7:20AM

Well I finally got the answer as to why the
food prices are and will be going up.
It's due to a grain shortage or fewer crops
that were grown in some country
due to I think weather or something to that affect.
Grains are used in foods and also
used as foods for animals like cows.

Monday on Fox28 they are doing a segment
on car repair shops and how they are
screwing you. They are taking a van in that
does not need brakes and are being told
that they do. I remember another news station
doing this and took a vehicle to a repair shop
for an oil change and they set up a hidden camera
which caught them breaking something
under the hood then telling them it needed repaired.

----------------------------------

9:05AM

I've decided to keep Christopher home
one more day from school.
He still has allot of nasal drainage
and hasn't slept well.
I called the school to let them know.
And do you know they've got some
foreign person answering the phones in the office.
They couldn't even understand what I was
trying to tell them. I had to speak slowly
for them to try and understand me.
At first I thought maybe I had dialed
the wrong number.
Boy there's a scary thought when people
answering the phones at the school
can barely speak English or understand you.

Anyone know how big these Sante Fe's are?
Looks small in photos.
Are they the size of an Explorer???
I mean do they sit up as high as an explorer?

I feel like every time I look at vehicles
I am unfamiliar with I have to cram for
a test to find all the reviews and facts on them.

I look up actual reviews from every day people,
crash tests, recalls, expenses for maintenance,
what is known to go wrong, what it is worth,
how long others have owned theirs
and the mileage people are putting on these
vehicles without any major problems.

Vehicles and homes are major expenses.
I think before buying any of them they should
let you test it out for about a week or so
to see if it is something you want.
But in this world you are put on the spot
to make decisions. Either you jump on something
right then and there or you risk the chance of
loosing it. Could be a good decision or later
on find out it was a bad one with something
you are stuck with.

10:50AM

Time to start lunch here soon.
And I would like to try and make
another one of my Pop Tart recipes.
I actually have two recipes I came up with
and want to make.
I made one the other day and it didn't
turn out quite like I wanted it to
so am revamping it and trying again.
Might do that this evening or weekend.

I'm still having pain with my toe.
I tried to call the doctor's office
and never got to talk to the receptionist.
I was on hold for about 10-15 minutes
on my cell phone at that because the
house phone was dead.
So I ended up hanging up.

I got a recipe/ coupon book
from Kroger in the mail today.
If anyone gets this and does not
want the $2.00 off $10 meat purchase
from their fresh meat department,
I could really use it!
If you notice that some of their coupons
say store coupon and some say
manufacture coupon.
To use at another store since it
does say manufacture coupon I would
just cut off the Kroger logo at the bottom.
Now Meijers will take the Kroger coupons
regardless.

4:00PM

Just called and got an appointment
for 6:00pm this eve to go see the Hyundai.
Can't wait to see how this will turn out, lol.
Usually not good, but every now and
then it's possible to find a needle in the
haystack. Don't know til you go look.

I finally got through to my doctor's office.
I got an appointment for next Tuesday
so they can look at my toe.
It'll be 2 weeks this Sunday since
I injured it and I am still limping
from pain.
.

----------------------------------

The Hyundai didn't work for us.
The motor ran real good and you
could barely hear it running.
But it needed a rear wheel bearing,
had an ABS light on along with
another light on, on the dash.
The dealer had a garage to repair cars.
He told me the bearing was only $100
to get fixed. Well if that was the case
then why didn't they fix it before selling
it and just mark up the vehicle another $100
to give people a little piece of mind
and to sell it quicker???
People are gonna run once
they hear that noise when going down the road.
You gotta put the clues together at
these car lots to know whether or not
your gonna get screwed.

----------------------------------

Sneak peak sales ad for Meijers
next week.

------------------------------------

Why is it when moms get sick that
no one else in the home can comprehend that?
They act as though mom's aren't supposed to get sick.
I could run full speed the rest of the year
so getting sick is like a vacation for me
to slow down and take it easy, extra nap times
and more lounging around.
Not the funnest time though with
feeling all the aches and pains but more rest.
This really sucks though as it's going
on 2 weeks. I'm thinking that if my toe
has had an infection the last two weeks
it could affect the rest of my body also.
So hoping doc puts me on some kind
of antibiotics or whatever so it can heal.
Think about it. If I am limping due to a sore
toe that would explain the hip pain I'm having
throwing everything off and out of balance.
Then I'm thinking extra aches and pains
and no energy could be the result of the infection.
I can't even wear a pair of regular shoes at
the moment. It causes too much pressure on my toe.
Been wearing socks with my slip on sandals

Oh did I tell you yesterday while in McDonalds
(mom's are allowed to cheat with supper
when they don't feel good)
that they were playing Christmas music
over their speakers.
We heard Joy to the World
and Nutcracker when there.
AHHHHHHH!!!

You know what is making this night,
weekend & next week even better.
Tony has on call again due to switching
days with another maintenance guy.
So he'll be on call from this Friday til next Friday.
After that he shouldn't have it again for 5 weeks!
And as I type he just left due to the pager going off.

Ok well going to pop some pills,
multi vitamin, vitamin C and vitamin D
and maybe head to bed soon
and watch tv.

9:20AM

Kept Christopher home from school today.
He doesn't have a fever but has allot
of nose drainage and some congestion.
He's not slept well last night
and hey neither did I constantly getting
up and checking on him.

Got my paperwork filled out that the neighbor
requested to have the bus stop possibly moved.
Another neighbor also turned his in.
So we just sit back and wait and see at the moment.
That would be so great to have the bus stop
right out our front door. No need to warm the truck
up in the Winter, scrape windows, brush off snow,
shovel snow, drive to bus stop and figure out where to park after the plow has gone down the street making no parking available on the street.
Just open up the front door and get them on the bus.
Would save on gas also!

Tonight's supper- Hamburgers.
That to us is a luxury items since we don't
have it very often due to price.
Found a package of 8 hamburgers
for $4.81 at Krogers.

4 Hamburgers $2.40
bread & cheese slices .50 cents
still deciding up a side dish

Also found a large pack of 8 pork chops
for $5.89
We had 4 of them last night for supper.
4 chops $2.92
Chex cereal & seasoning put in food processor
for breading- free
Homemade mashed potatoes $1.00
Can of cream of chicken soup (used for gravy) .50 cents

TOTAL COST $4.42
serves 5 @ .88 cents a serving
(divided a large pork chop between 2 kids)

4:30PM

I'm still in slow motion.
Toe still hurts. Mom thinks I might have broke it
considering it still is hurting a week and 4 days later.
I haven't been to the doctor. I mean really, what would they do for a broken toe. I'm sure I broke another toe one time when falling off the porch steps. I think the popping sound gave that one away with the extreme pain. But I never went to the doctor and are still walking fine.
Tired and some body aches still.
I try to be up moving around when I can.
I feel like if I lay in bed too long it makes it worse.
Tony wants to browse a few car lots
tonight then we need to stop in Krogers
for some Puffs Plus tissues with lotion.
I splurge to get those instead of regular tissues.
Christopher is complaining his nose is hurting
from wiping with toilet paper.
Since I have so many of the free Nivea
Lip care products I opened up one of the
milk and honey ones and designated it
for him to put on his upper lip and nose
area. I mean chap sticks helped chapped lips
so why wouldn't this help to moisturize
nose soreness from wiping.
I'd try vaseline but don't think
he would like that on his upper lip.
I know I probably wouldn't.
Been giving the kids their multi vitamins
and I have been taking vitamin D
along with Ester C tablets.
Also got the vaporizer running with
a splash of apple cider vinegar in it.
I just want my energy back!

--------------------------------------

10:50PM

Been looking at vehicles on Craigslist.
Really want an Explorer but am open
to looking at other 4x4 suv's.
I think tomorrow I am going to make
arrangements to see this suv
at a dealership. It's a 2001 Hyundai Sante Fe GLS 4x4.
It rates a 4.5 out of a 5 on Kelly Blue Book
and has lots of excellent reviews.
I always check reviews when it comes
to purchasing a vehicle. Especially
one I want to last many years.
This dealership also takes trade ins which
is a plus for us considering we want to possibly
trade in the 2001 Tracker if we can, along
with the money made off the Explorer we sold.
image 2039865907-0
Oh well, let the fun begin once again
with shopping for a vehicle.
I have learned not to get any hopes up.
I just want something dependable,
an suv, 4 door and 4x4.
No cars or mini vans.

Word of warning!
Do not use The Works in your bathtub.
Today I saturated some rags and applied
the rags to some more stained areas
of my tub. Bad mistake. This stuff
ate ate the sides of my porcelain tub.
If you run your fingers across the tub
you can now feel divots in some areas.
I also notice when rinsing the tub
that there was white flakey particles
from the porcelain floating in the water
and gathering around the drain.
I thought I was doing so good to get
a clean looking tub once again
that now I have to wonder how to fix
the next problem.
I only have half a white tub and the rest
is still stained since I started immediately
rinsing all the stuff off the tub when I saw
what was happening.
It's always freaking something.
This is what I get for trying.
I give up!

Now I have to figure out a way to refinish
this tub.

8:55pm

Just returned home from Hummer of Columbus
dealership in Dublin.
They had a 1997 Explorer for $1500
with 107,000 miles.

The salesman even dropped the price
by half to $750!
We didn't get it though.
We're gonna take our time to find
another Explorer that right for us.
One that will last us another 6 years
like our other one did even if I have
to spend a little money on it.
Hoping to actually find a car lot
that will take our Tracker in on trade.

I'm still feeling poopie with
body aches, not as bad though.
Sometimes I have floaty head
but Tony says I have that all the time, lol.

11-2-10

Woo hoo I got my Scunci steamer working again!
I am so happy!
I put a little of The Works in it and let it
sit for about a half hour
and rinsed it out many times.
I started using it on clothes that develop
wrinkles in the closet, from being folded
or ones that sat in the dryer too long.
Plus during the Winter months
we get more than one use out of our clothes
before washing. By steaming them it will
refresh the fabric.

I put a heavier lined pair of curtains up for Winter
and they are wrinkled from storage.
I took my steamer to it and wallah,
no more wrinkles. Didn't even have
to remove them from the rod.
Before
After
Next I started steaming the living room chair and couch.
Steam refreshes fabric, kills dust mites
fleas, any bed bugs if you were to have them
and germs. When I find time (not today)
I'll also do pillows and mattresses.

I am currently watching a canister
steamer on Ebay which holds more
water and it also has the attachment for doing floors.
Also watching a small fabric steamer
because it is lighter weight at only 1 pound
compared to mine.
With my shoulder pains it gets difficult holding
the one I have.
It sure beats having to get out
an ironing board and iron and doing it
the old fashioned way!

I was in the mood to browse recipes this morning.

Candied Sweet Potatoes
Joann Sheetz-Sharp-Laudeman

1 c brown sugar
1/4 c water
1/4 c butter
1 large can sweet potatoes (or 6 whole cooked sweet potatoes)

Cook brown sugar, water and butter until it begins to boil.
Add drained sweet potatoes and simmer 20-30 min uncovered.
We quadruple this for Thanksgiving Dinner.
Can also add cinnamon.

-------------------------------------

I got this awesome looking recipe from Taste of Home
Its a great magazine filled with yummy and fun recipes. This recipe claims to yield 24 servings, but I'd say it serves 4 lol.

Apple Nachos
by RaeAnne Gnatkowski

36 caramels
1 T water
30 large marshmallows
1/3 C butter, cubed
4 medium tart apples cut into ¼ inch slices
1/3 C dry roasted peanuts, chopped
1/3 C semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
3 T Halloween colored sprinkles

In a microwave safe bowl, melt caramel with water and stir until smooth.

Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt marshmallows and butter. Arrange apple slices on a large platter. Drizzle with caramel, top with marshmallow mixture. Sprinkle peanuts, chocolate chips and sprinkles on top.
Serve immediately.

149 calories per serving

Tip: Spritz the apple slices with some lemon lime soda to prevent oxidation. You could use pecans or walnuts in place of the peanuts.

If you have an apple peeler corer slicer, this recipe can be whipped up in 5-10 minutes! Just pull the peeler thing back. Or peel them if you like. The recipe calls for peeled apples, but the pic shows them not peeled and I love the peel on mine.

---------------------------------------------------

Holiday Smokies
Recipe from Shannon Dillman (that's me)
1 pack smokies
1 20 oz can crushed pineapple
1 10 oz jar maraschino cherries, divided
1/2 stick butter
Pinch ground cloves
¾ c brown sugar
4 T molasses
2 T yellow mustard
1 can Coca Cola
In a saucepan, combine butter, juice from cherries, whole can of crushed pineapple, cloves, brown sugar, molasses, coke and mustard. Heat it stirring until brown sugar is dissolved and mixture thickens slightly. Do not allow it to burn.

Dump mixture into 3 qt crock pot (or double for larger crockpot), throw in smokies and whole cherries.

Cook about 30 in crockpot on high, until smokies are hot. Turn to low to keep hot for serving.

*have a jar of toothpicks next to it, so people can pick..they will want the cherries too.

Winter Hearth Smokies
Hillshire Farms Recipe

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

MAKES 12

INGREDIENTS
1⁄2 cup Earth Balance butter
3⁄4 cup crunchy peanut butter
(preferably unsweetened and unsalted)
3⁄4 cup graham cracker crumbs or 10 graham cracker squares
1⁄4 cup maple sugar or other granulated sweetener
1 cup grain-sweetened, nondairy chocolate or carob chips
1⁄4 cup soy, rice, or nut milk
1⁄4 cup chopped pecans, almonds, or peanuts

STEPS
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners. (If You Care makes unbleached liners made from recycled paper.)
Set aside.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in the peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, and maple sugar and mix well. Remove the mixture from the heat.
Evenly divide the mixture, approximately 2 tablespoons per cup, among the muffin cups.
Combine the chocolate and milk in another pan.
Stir over medium heat until the chocolate has melted.
Spoon the chocolate evenly over the peanut butter mixture.
Top with chopped nuts.
Place in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours before serving.

They are great soft, but even better a little firmer!

Cabbage Rolls Stuffed with Corned Beef

Wrap up the flavors of the Emerald Isle in these delicious corned beef and cabbage rolls. For convenience, stuff the cabbage leaves the night before, then just cook them in the oven. Cooked in nutrient-rich spaghetti sauce, this main dish is an easy way to fit in more veggies!

Directions

Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
1 head Cabbage, large
Step 1: Separate 12 large outer leaves from the cabbage head; set aside the remaining cabbage head. Remove the center vein from each leaf so it becomes more pliable. Soften the cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from water with a slotted spoon; set aside until cool enough to handle.
Ingredients:
1 small Onion, chopped
2 medium Celery, chopped
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 can Canned Corned Beef Hash, (15 ounces)
14 cup Dry Breadcrumbs
Step 2: Chop 1 cup of cabbage from the remaining cabbage head. Save any leftover cabbage to use in a salad, soup or stir-fry dish. Cook and stir the chopped cabbage, onion and celery in oil over medium heat in a medium, non-stick skillet until onion is translucent, about 10 minutes. Add corned beef hash, breaking it up with a spoon; mix gently. Heat over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce and breadcrumbs, mix well. Cool slightly.
Ingredients:
1 cup Spaghetti Sauce, divided
13 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
Step 3: Spoon about 1/4 cup of the corned-beef mixture onto each cabbage leaf. Roll, tucking the ends in. Arrange cabbage rolls, seam side down, in a shallow baking dish. Pour remaining spaghetti sauce over cabbage rolls. Bake at 350ºF covered for about 25 minutes, until heated through. To serve, spoon spaghetti sauce over cabbage rolls; sprinkle with parsley.

Pecan Sassies

Tarts Shells:

½ C butter, softened
3 oz cream cheese
1 C all-purpose flour

Filling:

2 T melted butter
3/4 c brown sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla extract
1 c finely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°. (this is a good time to throw in some scrubbed potatoes, might as well bake some while the oven is on)

Tart Shells:
Beat butter and cream cheese. Add flour and mix until it forms a dough.

Using small scoop, drop 1 inch balls of dough into mini muffin pan. Dip tart shaper into flour (I just put a little flour in my 2 cup prep bowl and dip into that. Press down on the center of the ball and it should come up the sides forming a nice little cup. If ya get it wrong, all is not lost, you can re-roll it and try again, but homemade should never be perfect looking!

Now, make the filling

Filling:

Nuke the butter until melted in your batter bowl. Add the brown sugar, than egg, then vanilla and combine well. Then stir in the finely chopped pecans. Give it another stir and its ready to go.

Using that cute little scoop again, scoop it into the cups. Do not overfill!

Bake 20 minutes or until edges are a light golden brown. Remove pan from oven, let Sassies set in pan for 3 minutes and then move to a wire rack to cool. (now be careful, I know you are going to sneak one, the center is HOT..but go ahead...just be careful). If ya have trouble, I just use a tiny toothpick to pry any loose that might not come out real easy. Cool completely.

11:25AM
The neighbor just stopped by.
Because he has our 90 year old neighbor
watching and getting his kids off to school some
mornings, he is now trying to get our bus stop changed
due to the colder Winter weather coming up.
He wants the bus to stop outside our home/intersection
instead of a block away by mom's house.
That would be nice.
5 out of the 7 kids at our bus stop
all live by our home. The other 2 live at
the opposite end of the street.
It does make sense to have it by our home
but I wouldn't have made a big deal over it
like he is because he doesn't want to find
a regular babysitter.

I like this idea, LOL.

Slowly but surely all my Galde entries
are going through.
Here's another one I did.
I called it Play Ball!

That one was tough to do
especially the football since there
was no football shape.

Has anyone heard of or have taken Curamin?
We are looking into this all natural pill
for pain relief instead of OTC meds.
It's supposed to help pain and inflamation
of bones and joints.
There was an article about it
in Woman's World magazine.

I have read many reviews and many
people swear by taking this!
So might look into getting some
in the near future.
I don't see it at Walgreens or Walmart
so it might only be available at
health stores only or on Ebay.

Did anyone get through to the Dr. Oz
freebies today? I tried and tried.
I don't know what went through and
what didn't.
I tried for the free Sketchers, eye exam,
$50 Target gift card
and Holiday Inn overnight stay.
I did get an email saying this:
"
Dr. Oz and Holiday Inn would like to thank you for your entry into the Holiday Inn Giveaway. If you were one of the lucky 300, you'll get a separate email with details."

I just recently borrowed a little more
The Works toilet bowl cleaner from mom
to test it out in my bathtub.
The bottom of my tub has lost that shiny
white glaze and when dirty kids get in it
the dirt stains the tub and it won't come clean.
Now of course I clean our tub constantly
BUT it never looks clean due to all the stains.
I've tried everything for the past year
and nothing works, bleach, comet, soft scrub,
you name it.
I am here to announce The Works WORKS!
Now I only tried test spots as I still
have to go buy a bottle of this stuff
and will be checking Dollar Tree tomorrow for it
and stocking up on a few if I find it there.
I should soon have a white tub again.
YEAH!!
You can see where I poured some in the tub
and let it sit for about 20 minutes.

Scrubbing right away didn't work.
You need to let it sit and eat at the stains.

I even tried the Dawn & vinegar solution
and that didn't work.

The bathtub is 52 years old.
Tomorrow it'll be like I have a new tub!

7:00PM
It's a sad night.
Just sold the Explorer.
Someone from Delaware bought it.
Putting that money back to go towards
another Explorer.
It will kinda have it's own saving's
account to build up to be able to
car shop in the near future.
Anyone want to buy a 2001 Tracker???
That'll be next.

Ahh my printer is giving me fits again.
Or at least the web pages I pull up to print
coupons says my printer won't work.
Guess I'll have to try to reboot the computer
and unplug and replug the printer
to hopefully get some coupons to print.
Usually that works.

Here's some coupons

from Hip2Save

Here’s a *HOT* new printable coupon… Just go here to print a $3/1 Nivea for Men Active3 body wash coupon! This should make for FREE or close to FREE Nivea Body Wash at various stores!

I'm finally out of Tony's body wash and hoping to
get my printer to work for this!
I checked at Walgreens.com
and according to their website this
body wash is $2.50.
Ok gonna work on this stupid printer tonight
because I am planning a trip to Walgreens tomorrow.

Yay! Right@Home just released a $3 off ANY 3 Glade product coupon here (excludes Glade solid air fresheners and room sprays).

Yeah I got my printer working!!
Had to reboot to fix the problem.

Printed the first body wash coupon ok
but the second one came out looking like crap
to the point I can't use it.
I did another test print and it came out fine.
GRRRRRRR!!

Walgreens has Sweet N Low box of 120 packets
for $2.79 buy 1 get 1 free with Walgreens coupon.
Use 2 of these .35 cent coupons
to make it $2.09 for two 120 packs.
Tony doesn't particularly like this kind
of sweetener but I might get some
to use on kids cereal.

Wonder if it's this cooler weather that
makes your muscles and bones hurt.
Now the pain is back on my shoulder
on the very tip top . It makes it difficult to raise
my left arm. I didn't even care to brush my hair this morning before heading out to the bus stop it because it hurt too much.
I don't know how people
cope with pain all the time without eating
some kind of prescription or OTC medicine.

I don't have plans of going anywhere today
so will just sit at home, do the bills
and maybe do a couple loads of laundry.
I don't have a grocery list for this week.
I might tag along with mom to the store later this week
to check out if there is any Halloween stuff
marked down. I saw Kroger's had their stuff
marked down to 75% off yesterday.

I heard on the news this morning that
LCD TV's will be coming down in price
by 25%!! I don't remember why
just remembered them saying that.

Finally going through my Columbus Sunday Dispatch
and wanted to point out a few deals I see.

I think if I had to think of a Christmas gift to
tell Tony I wanted this year it would
be another steamer.
One that I could also use on clothes
to get the wrinkles out.
I had a regular cleaning steamer
but it doesn't seem to want to work.
Wonder if it's from hard water deposits.
I would recommend putting distilled water
in them instead of tap water.
Might fill it with some CLR
and let it sit to see if it will clear it out.
I found this forum about Scunci Steamers
not wanting to put out steam.

At the moment if I find clothes that are
wrinkled I mist a spray combination
of water mixed with a little fabric softener
then pull on the fabric slightly to remove the wrinkles.
I suggest doing this the night before
because kids have complained their clothes
feel damp if I do this right before they get dressed.

11:00AM

I finally broke down and took some Ibuprofen.
It hurts to walk. Waddling like a penguin.
Whole body feels stiff and joints hurt.
This sucks!! I got things to do
and keep putting them off because of it.

You know what's crazy is that yesterday while
at Kroger they didn't hesitate to pull the Halloween
items off the shelves and start putting up
Christmas things! Uh I do believe we missed
a holiday called Thanksgiving!
I see advertisements on TV for Christmas
stuff also. How about a commercial
starting an early Black Friday sale?
AHHHHHHH!!
I'm so tired of stores trying to push
Christmas items and gift buying on you
earlier and earlier each year.
They wouldn't have to do this, this time
of year if they would just give us better
deals all year long so we can slowly shop
for Christmas throughout the year!
I have already informed the kids that
I had a word with Santa to let him
know we moved into a smaller house
and cannot receive lots of gifts starting this year
with no space to put them.
So starting this year we will be getting
fewer presents.

Well I laid down around 11:15AM
and didn't get back up til 3:10PM.
When your body hurts ya don't feel
like doing much of anything but laying down.

---------------------------

Simple supper this evening.

3 pouches alfredo pasta .99 cents/3
3 pouches tuna fish Free
4 bread & butters .12 cents

TOTAL: $1.11
serves 7 @ .15 cents a serving

I finally had a couple more of my Glade candle designs
approved and put on their site.
Like I said for every entry you put in
they had to approve it first before
posting it in their gallery.
I still have other entries waiting approval
and will show you them once they go through.
So here are other entries I did.

WAVES OF LAVENDER

GARDEN LATTICE

I am currently working on trying to
get my Scunci steamer working again.
me and hubby tore it apart.
It seemed to have hard water build up in it.
I rinsed and shook it a few times
and yuck stuff came out of it.
Next I filled it with vinegar
and turned it upside down to sit overnight and soak.
I am looking for some CLR to put in it
also and let soak.
I'd hate to see my steamer go to waste
and not be able to be used.
They are not cheap and I got this
from my honey about 4 years ago as a gift.
Here is the exact Scunci steamer that
I have with bag and all attachments.
My set actually came with a bonus
rechargeable stick vac which never worked.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight I was rummaging around the basement
looking to see if we had any CLR, which we didn't
have any that I could find. I ran across a product
called The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner.
Says on bottle supposed to help remove
lime, calcium and hard water build up in
toilet bowls.
After putting a little in my Scunci I put some
in our toilet bowl which has build up,
allot of build up, along the sides!
Gross looking but nothing we have done
makes it come clean.
I probably found this stuff when DDn
is why I even have it.
Didn't even know I had it really.
But let me tell ya this stuff works wonders!
Immediately it took off the build up
with help from a toilet brush!
Tony was even amazed!
We were to the point of either putting
acid in the bowl from his work
or putting in another toilet.
I did a search to see where I could find more
of this stuff and how much it costs.
Possibly found at Dollar Tree.
Other stores run about $2-$3 a bottle.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!
I really hope I can find it at Dollar Tree for a buck!
I can't believe how fast this stuff worked!!
It doesn't smell the greatest
and you don't want to get it on your skin,
clothes or elsewhere. At this point I don't care.
It's better than looking at a disgusting toilet
or have company look at it also!

I'm not a coffee drinker but find myself
sometimes making my honey coffee in the mornings
in the coffee pot. I have no clue of how much to put
in the darn maker and just guess.
He says his coffee tastes perfect.
I saw this in an email of how much
coffee you should be putting in the coffee
maker to make it correctly.
"
Rule of thumb for making coffee...1 Tablespoon for every 2 cups...level it and a shake a smidgeon off you don't like it strong"
