Glade's Common Sense & Spray

I told you about my deal on the
Glade Sense and Sprays from Walgreens
last week.

Well I decided to put one of those in my
bathroom yesterday. These motion sprayers
spray directly out the top instead of horizontal
like the air wick ones.

I'm sitting here yesterday when Jonathan comes
screaming out of the bathroom. He hit the spray
boost on the sense & spray and got sprayed in
his eyes. That was not a fun experience at all!
He knocked it into the toilet when blinded
by the spray.
So now I am attempting to dry it out to see
if it will work once again.
I am happy to report Jonathan is ok.

Well we splurged today and bought us a
brand new sofa!!!

In 11 years time we have only bought 3 pieces of
brand new furniture; a queen foot and headboard (set),
a kitchen table/chairs and now a sofa.

We headed over to Value City Furniture
and looked at a couch we viewed online
on their website.
To our surprise they
had it marked $100 less!!
It retails for $900,
was $399
marked down today only for $299!!

We did splurge a little further and
got a warranty and the scotch guard with it.
If this sofa should rip, show wear, break,
stain or fall apart then it will either be fixed
or replaced with new for the next 7 years!
I worried so much about getting a new sofa
and having the kids destroy it. So with this
I have peace of mind!!

While we could have paid for it in full
we went with a layaway.
Reason being is we want to paint our living
room before bringing the couch home.

I still would like to stay with Tuscan colors
and paint the walls a yellow color.
When you have lived in an apartment most
your life looking at sterile white walls
you yearn for color! Now that I have
my own house I'm ready for something a
little dramatic!
Something about the color of this flower.

And I am already searching for fabric to make
window treatment, lol. Love Ebay for the fabric selection.
I like this one.

I found this tutorial about how to make
kids pants out of the sleeves of a sweater
or sweatshirt. What a nifty idea!

At the moment I am working on Spring cleaning
and getting the house weeded of clutter.
Picking out a sofa today has only
inspired me to work harder at Spring cleaning!

I finally got our water cooler I purchased
at the thrift store for $12 up and running this eve.
So far it seems to be working and the water is
really cold. This will come in so handy on those
hot days this Summer. No making ice
cubes constantly and having to pour drinks for the kids.
I don't trust them to pour from pitchers themselves.
I still have flashbacks of having a freshly made
pitcher of red Kool Aid sitting in the fridge
that spilled everywhere!!

Tonight I tripped over the damn dog who loves to
lay in the doorway to the kitchen.
That hurt like hell. My toes on my left foot
hurt sooo bad and now my neck and knee hurts.
Can't wait til morning to see what else hurts.

The kids have been talking about wanting to put
the bunk beds together and having one room.
I'm gonna wait this out a little just to be sure
this is something they really want before
I start moving a bed from one room to another.

If they do decide they want to I might move my
desk into the other room and make me a small
office area, something I so desperately need.
Finding a place other than the kitchen table
in this small house has been a problem. I have
run out of ideas but ever since the kids started
talking about bunk beds the light clicked on in
my head.

Here is something about coupons I did not know
until today.

I was confused about my sales
tax at Walgreens when my total came to .99
cents and I was charged .40 cents sales tax.
I thought it should of been about 6-7 cents.

Here is what I researched online:

If you use regular manufacture coupons that reimburse
the stores the value of the coupons then
you pay tax on the total amount after the coupons
are taken off.

Now if you use a store coupons such as a Walgreens
coupon that does not get reimbursed by a manufacture
then you get taxed on the price before that coupon.

**********

Even though that is what it states online
I am still having a hard time understanding
how it works.

Today I was charged tax on the full price
of $5.99
I had a $2.00 off Walgreens coupon
and a $3.00 off manufacture coupon
my total was .99 cents
plus .40 cents tax.

Ohio Franklin County sales tax is 6.75%

Shouldn't I have only been taxed for $2.99?
That would have been full price minus
the manufacture coupon.
The remaining balance of $2.99 would have been before
the Walgreens coupon that you can get taxed on.

I AM SO LOST ON TRYING TO FIGURE THIS
CRAP OUT. IF SOMEONE CAN PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS
TO ME I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

WHY AM I BEING CHARGED TAX FOR FULL PRICE
OF ITEM PURCHASED AFTER GIVING
A MANUFACTURE COUPON???

Didn't do much today.
Mom and me went and walked around
Easton Town Center.
My first visit there was last month
and that was just to see a movie.
Inside this mall this movie theater
has 30 screens!!!
This place has been around how long
and this year was my first year there???
I live only a couple miles from it!!
I took my camera along today being my first
time actually walking around the mall
and the shops outside. It was such a
beautiful day in the high 60's and sunshine.
So for those who have never been there
I took plenty of photos for you to view!
LMAO!

If ever you experience problems with the sales
ads called The Bag you can reach them at
TheBag.com

Also I would like to let you know that
the Columbus Dispatch is associated with The Bag
and will also address any situations you may have.

If you do not receive The Bag you can call
and request that they deliver it to your home.
From what I understand they do not deliver
to every home now unless requested.

I have noticed since having a new bag carrier
that we have not had any coupons in our bag.

Tony brought me home some of those bags from work
because I wanted more McDonald's coupons from them.
That's when I noticed they all had Smartsource coupons
in them! I was pissed and immediately wrote
a complaint email to The Bag!

Don't hesitate to complain to them!
I NEED MY COUPONS TO SURVIVE!
So heck yeah I'm gonna raise hell!

From what I have read KMart will be having a
Super Doubles event coming up April 4th.
What is super doubles?
They will double any manufacture coupon
up to $2.00.
For example if you have a $2.00 coupon
it would now become $4.00.

Will have to wait and see what the stipulations
may be. You may be only allowed so many coupons
and be required to spend a certain amount.
They seem to change the rules every time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAMIEN!! 20 YEARS OLD TODAY!!

Not too much going on today. Tony is home from
work not feeling good :-(
Mine and Tony's stomachs have both been churning
most of the day. Hope it clears up soon!
I'm tired of sickies!!

I stopped in a Dollar Tree today that
I hadn't been to.
This one had clothing!
I got me a black and pink fleece top
and a gray fleece jacket, NEW for .50 cents each!
I also got Jonathan a fleece Scooby Doo pullover
NEW for .50 cents!!

Stopped in Speedway today and snatched up some more
coupons. Speedway is a great place to score some
decent coupons you just have to search the store
to find them sitting out. Summer time I find
many, many coupons there so start to be on the look
out for them.

Here's a photo of my stash from Speedway.
The only coupon not in the photo is one
for .50 cents off a bag of SunChips.

I scored a bunch of $1.00 off Pepsi Max 20 ounce
coupons last month at Speedway. Just used
the last one today. That was an awesome deal!
(don't try the lime flavored Pepsi Max, that
was soooo gross!)
Usually they run 2 for $2.22. Then use two
$1.00 off coupons which made them .22 cents
for two 20 ounce bottles!!

Well I know it's early, only 8:45pm, and I am so ready
for bed. Gonna try to get my stomach to mellow out!
Wish I could figure out what is causing all this
so me and Tony could feel better!
