8:35AM
Throwing supper in the crock pot.
Dumping in a couple of boneless pork
ribs, can of apple pie filling and
a pork seasoning packet that I found
in the mark down bin at Kroger this
weekend.
Once done I will remove pork from crock
and add stuffing mix to the apple
pie filling and mix together.

For dessert will make some more
cookie ice cream cups. This time
I will use gingerbread cookie mix
and caramel ice cream.

For breakfast we had egg sandwiches
with swiss cheese and mayo.
Why is it every time I go to the store
I can't seem to remember butter or
cooking spray. So because I didn't have
any for frying eggs this morning I used
Italian dressing instead. Gives eggs
a whole new flavor!

I don't have any grocery shopping to
do this week. The only place I want
to go is Walgreens to pick up some
school supplies while on sale.
I also wanted to get some insoles
while I have a total of $5.00
off in coupons. I did get a pair
from Kroger Saturday with one $2.00
coupon and that was only because
we couldn't wait to get Tony
some foot relief. I think I paid
$7 or $8 for the DR. Scholl's after
the coupon.

Wanna see a kid frown, tell them you're
going to buy school supplies. Only
six and a half weeks left til the start
of school. Summer's half over with already!
Stores are starting to have
school supplies on sale so now is the time
to start stocking up on them. Stock up
on the basic things you think they could
use all year such as pencils, crayons,
glue, pencil sharpeners, paper, folders.
I'm hoping to get a shelf done up
in the basement for nothing but school
stuff. Store the items on the shelves
in those plastic shoe box storage containers.
Now would also be the time to shop for
some school clothes and beat the rush
of other shoppers!

I shop yard sales and thrift stores for
their clothes. I think Ohio Thrift
has a half price day on everything
in their store the last Wednesday of every month.
But usually there are a ton of people in the
store that day so don't know if it's worth
pushing your way through the crowd.
So July 28th is the last half price day
before school starts!

I already bought
school shoes right before Summer so they
have a brand new pair waiting for that
first day of school, providing their feet
hasn't grown too much, but I try to buy
just a tad bigger.

9:30-10:30AM

I pulled out the paint I used in Jonathan's bedroom
and decided to use it on the dining room wall.
I have a base coat on the wall of this paint.
Then I took a bowl and added a cup of this
paint along with the 2 Glidden terracotta rose
paint samples and mixed them together.
This will be the top coat which
I am getting ready to put on.
I love this color soooo much more
than the glidden color sample I got
in the mail that was toooo bright!
It goes much more better with the
yellow walls.

10:30-11:30AM

Got the dining room wall finished and are so
LOVING the color I came up with!
The color in the photos are NOT true colors.
It looks more like the last photo
called Navajo Red. Picture in your head a dark
terracotta. I don't know why the camera
is picking up the color as more red because
it is not, it's orangy brown.

Now compare that with the terracotta rose
color from Glidden....AHHHHH!

Here is a recipe for homemade Cool Whip.
I have not tried it yet.

Cool Whip

1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
2 teaspoons cold water
3 tablespoons boiling water
1/2 cup ice water
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons oil

Chill a small metal mixing bowl. Soften gelatin with 2 teaspoons cold water,
then add boiling water, stirring until gelatin is completely dissolved. Cool
until tepid. Place ice water and nonfat dry milk in the chilled bowl. Beat at
high speed until mixture forms stiff peaks. Add sugar, still beating, then oil
and gelatin. Place in freezer about 15 minutes then transfer to refrigerator
until ready for use. Stir before using to retain creamy texture.

Makes 2 cups

Wow the day is just flying by. Haven't made it
down to the basement today. Might stay upstairs
and work in Jonathan's room and bathroom today.

I don't know what it is about kids and toilet
paper. They use sooo much of it and toilet
paper is not cheap! Plus all that toilet paper
clogs the toilet up and I have to play
maintenance mommy a lot. I had turned to
wipes from the store but there's an extra
expense.

Now I am considering making my own wipes
that I can wash. I know it sounds gross
but it can't be any grosser than an overloaded
bathroom trash can that the dog likes to
dig treats out of!! Plus if you've ever
done cloth diapers it can't be any worse
than that!!
I'm gonna find me a flat flannel sheet
and cut it into squares/rectangles with
pinking shears for them to use
as wipes. Place a small spray bottle
on the back of the toilet filled with
2 Tablespoons cheap baby shampoo
and fill the rest with water.
They can use this to spray to moisten the
cloth with.
Then I will find a small trash can
with lid for them to put them into.

Walllah, environment friendly, reusable
and no more extra expense of going
through soooo much TP.

Lunch

Grilled swiss cheese sandwiches.
Used Italian dressing brushed on the bread
before grilling instead of butter.

Been thinking about what to use for a shelf
on my wall in the kitchen. I'm not having
much luck finding the right depth of a shelf
that will work.

If I can't find something soon here is an idea
that I had if I can locate a 3 shelf bookshelf.

I would like to cut the whole thing in half.
Usually they are like 12 inches deep so this
would make it only 6 inches deep.
I'd paint it white, add a backing
and put the light pine contact paper
on the back of it to blend in with the
other kitchen cabinets.

So then I would have two shelves. Couldn't
let the other one go to waste. So here's
is my idea for that, put dowels along sides
and wheels on the bottom and use it in
the small space between the fridge and wall.
I could store cans, small boxes of food or
even spices on it.

Or I don't see why you couldn't
convert an old VHS storage rack
or CD rack, depending on your space
you have, into a shelf for pantry items
beside your fridge.

This is what I want to make to
put next to fridge to give you an idea.

Just some ideas I have. I'm always looking
for more storage place around here!
I'll have to keep an eye out at
yard sales for one :0)

Why's someone ALWAYS gotta mess with your stuff.
This is ridiculous!
We had our blue Trans Am pulled out in the
drive way as we were considering cruising it
sometime this weekend. Tony had it all
cleaned up and even vacuumed it.
I went out to our truck this morning
and noticed when I passed by the TA
that the console and glove box was
hanging open and what little contents
there was, was in the passenger seat.
I knew Tony didn't leave it like this
after cleaning it! Our truck was unlocked
and windows down all night and nothing
was touched in it which makes me wonder
if someone was in the car last night
when we were gone. While nothing appears
to be missing it still pisses me off they
were Fn' with our stuff!!
You know another thing that doesn't make
sense is that I don't think anyone has ever
messed with the red TA in 11 years but this
blue TA has had seat covers stolen, back
wheels stolen left on blocks and
now this.

11:50AM

ALSO NOTICE THAT THE SONS OF BITCHES ALSO STOLE
THE BICYCLE THAT TONY JUST BROUGHT HOME NOT
LONG AGO FOR CHRISTOPHER!!!!
We had the bicycles in front of the shed door.
They were out of site from the road and driveway!
Whoever it was had to of come down our driveway
and into our yard.

KENDRA & DEWAYNE

We might still be interested in getting that fence up now!
We are tired of shit getting stolen all the time.
I have lost count of how many bicycles have been stolen
and how many times cars have been rummaged through.
Considering taking the garden out and putting a parking
area in it's place behind fenced gates to further
protect the cars. Also would like to figure out
how to continue the fence across the driveway
and make it into a gate also.
With what little money we have we cannot afford
to have people shopping at our home for freebies
in the middle of the night or after dark!!!
You try to put stuff outta sight but they are now
coming into our yard!
I know we are being watched.
They know when we leave and are not home.
And I am pretty sure this latest incident
didn't happen when we were in bed but
when we were gone last night.

FENCE PLANS

The day is just flying by. Went to Home Depot
and Lowes to price items for a fence.
All I can say is there goes any bonus
Tony gets. We were thinking about
getting rid of the Explorer and Tracker
and finding another decent running Explorer
with his bonus money. Not this time
around :0( Will have to keep limping
vehicles around instead.

And now Tony's feet has worsened where
he can hardly walk! Need to get him
a family doctor's appointment then
get a possible referral to a specialist.
So there's more money out of our pockets.
When it rains it pours!!

Stopped by McDonalds to get a bite to eat.
Why is it every time we go there they get
a delivery semi truck in there to block the
parking spots???!!! I'm tired of being
asked to move our vehicle after we've sat
down to enjoy our food. I just grabbed
my food and left. They had cones
in the parking lot where the truck was
blocking off areas. Cones? What cones?
Thump, thump, thump they go under our
truck tires (EVIL LAUGH)

I was worrying that to put up a fence we
would need a permit. I located a file
online that doesn't look like we will.
The fence will only be 6 feet high.
Anything over 6 feet is considered
a structure and would require a building
permit.

FENCES in Columbus

You ever just have one of those days?
Well that feels like today.

Tony called the transmission guy about
the problems with the shifter cable
that the guy goofed up. We originally took
the TA to the guy because it had a transmission
leak, and after him so called fixing it,
it now has THREE leaks!! Don't go to the
transmission shop on Main St. in Reynoldsburg!
Anyway the guy said to bring it back and he
would fix it.
This is the guy that Tony painted the inside
of his house and said he would pay him and
never did.
Now this guy asks Tony tonight if he wanted
to do more work around his house.
HELLO, WHAT ABOUT GETTING PAID FROM THE
PAINTING JOB HE DID????
Some people got balls let me tell ya!!
Heck I ain't been paid for babysitting
3 kids the one day.

Then this eve we return home from Kroger
and one of the neighborhood kids asks the
boys if they could spend the night with him.
The funny part is, is that he is a colored boy
and he told us his mom said they could spend
the night and have a "WHITE NIGHT"!
What the hell does that mean, LOL!
I have never heard of that before.

I am just in one of my moods today.
When we came home from Kroger we found
that the dog decided to use our carpet
as a potty. GRRRRRR! This is a dog that
you let out constantly and she'll forget
what she's outside for. And most of the
time you have to tell her to go poopie
or she'll forget that too.
So anyway the dog was booted outside for the
night. Maybe she'll chase away any
burglars, LMFAO!! She'd help them!

And talking of dogs and carpets...
We stopped in Ollie's today for the first
time. It's sort of reminded me of Big Lots.
They claim to have really cheap prices
and to me they are no different than
other stores I shop.

Ollie's does carry HUGE rolls of carpet.
Which we checked out for maybe a future
project of changing out our carpet
in our home. First of all I can't stand
the light color and second, with animals,
it really needs changed out!

For a 12 foot by 21 foot roll was $174.
That covers 252 square feet. So what's
that about .69 cents a square foot?
Lowes wants $1.69 a sq ft. according
to their website for the cheapest carpet
so that would be $425.88.
I think I would like to save $251.88
if I could :0)

The brand at Ollie's was Natco.
I did a little research and found that
Home Depot sells Natco area rugs.
I was concerned about the quality
of the carpet and this was all I could find.

Well the evening just got better and what a way
to wind it down.
"White Night" ain't happening at the friends
house due to Christopher acting up and
now both of them are back home at 10PM.

I swear what the hell else????!!!!!

Just having a lovely day.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store.

GOOD GUYS
Here are some pictures and videos from last night
on Busch Blvd (Continent area). It was like
taking a step back in time. I think we got there
around 6:30 and got home about 10:30PM.
We took my step-dad with us who usually
goes to the actual car show. His comment
last night after viewing what we go to
every year was, "this is better than any
car show you walk around!" Been trying
to tell him this for years and the best
part is that's it's FREE!
They really start to get wound up after dark.
Heading back again tonight.

11:00AM to 1:00PM

Got up and had breakfast of sausage, egg and cheese
roll sandwiches.
After breakfast we went out to the red Trans AM
to work more on the shifter cable.
Remember that thing that the guy at the
transmission shop screwed up, well we are
still working on it!
I'm chillin at the moment. Just got the front
and side grass mowed for now. Tony's now
fiddling with the blue Trans Am.
Just go, go, go around here!

Anyone care to chime in here and fix this???

I thought this was a neat idea of coming
up with more storage space.

How to Turn a Door into a Bookcase

The only problem I saw that would concern me
is that I would have put some sort of
cross bar across the shelves on the bottoms
to keep things from falling off when you
opened the doors. Or you could even put
a plexiglass door front on.

This was pretty neat also, not that I would
do it but I thought I would show you.
How about cutting 2 coffee tables in half
and stacking them along the wall to make
a bookshelf?

Heading over to the Continent and possibly
Worthington to check out the old cars.
