Yes.
That is correct.
Your eyes do not deceive you.
It is a gigantic crocheted hamburger dress.
All I know is, somewhere out there the Hamburglar is totally aroused and doesn't know why.

RECYCLED PLASTIC BAG WREATH

I know everyone hasn't a clue what to do with all those plastic bags we lug home from our shopping trips.
I love the idea of being able to recycle old things into something new
and found this wreath on Design Sponge's blog.
Remember making wreaths from tissue paper in school?
Well this is pretty much the same idea except made with
plastic grocery bags.

Amanda’s Holiday Wreath

You’ll need:

-wire hangers (the type you get with your dry cleaning at the laundromat)
-plastic bags (the type that you get with your dry cleaning at the laundromat)
-pliers

It’s very simple to make the wreath:

Step 1: Using a wire hanger, make a circle shape with the help of pliers).

Step 2: Cut the plastic bags in 1/2″ wide strips. You will be left with tons of plastic bag “rings”. Cut both ends of these rings.

Step 3: Fold strips in half. Cut the folded end. Fold the strips in half again. Cut the end. Repeat until you have strips that are 5-6″ long.

Step 4: Tie strips onto the wire. Tie the strips tightly together next to each other until you no longer see the wire.

To make the floating word ornament:

Step 1: If you have an old glass ornament and wants to recycle it, take the cap off and fill up with bleach and salt. This will remove the old paint, leaving the ornament in clear glass. Skip this step if you already have a clear glass ornament.

Step 2: To make the hanging JOY inside the ornament, I used leftover alphabet stickers and carefully placed each letter on top of the edge of each other. I did the same thing on both sides so one can read from any angle. With the help with a safety pin, I poked a hole in the middle of the word.

Step 3: I threaded the word with a thin fishing line, tied a tiny knot on one side and then threaded again through the ornament cap. Tied a knot from underneath the cap and tad-dah! Floating word ornament is done!

To add some color, I tied a red ribbon around the ornament.

Tah-dah! Wreath cost: $0

THIS IS FUNNY LOOKING

I was doing searches online for ponchos when I came across this item and thought
what in the world is that!!!
This would make you look twice, LMAO!!

The head is crowning but at the opposite end!
Look my third boob just gave birth!!

I just had to share that with y'all before heading to bed.
I must be tired!

HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS IDEA

Hubby bought me one of those Snuggies for my birthday and the kids really liked it and even wore it a few times.
I asked them if they wanted Santa to bring them one and they said yes!
Snuggies run about $30 for 2 of them so I got to thinking after looking at mine and thought they shouldn't be too hard to make!
I could go to the thrift store and find a blanket (maybe fleece at that) for cheap.
I even found some online directions to make one!

SNUGLET

Here's an idea that just hit me:
Why couldn't I make something like a poncho,
gosh I remember wearing those as a kid, lol.
I could take a blanket and cut a hole in the middle to put the head through.
Could probably even figure out how to put a hood on it.
Ya see Snuggies aren't too snuggy for your backside.
It's made for people sitting down to use.
They remind me of something you wear at the doctor's office
that has your backside sticking out.
So by making one this way everything gets warm!
Kids are simple minded. They don't want to mess with robes, buttons or belts.
This way all they had to do was put it over their heads and be done with it.

BREAKFAST 12-6-09

Not quite Sunday yet but figured I'd post tomorrow's breakfast anyway before I started my day of house cleaning and laundry.
I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow as I didn't get much done today.
Did some rearranging in my regular freezer today and came across a half bag of potatoes that needed used up so decided to have them for breakfast.
I always try to find different ways to use up leftover items.

I got the idea for this recipe out of a Pillsbury cook book
called Crescents, Biscuits and More!
that used sausage gravy with hash brown potatoes and went from there with what I had on hand.
You never have to follow recipes accordingly.
I usually browse through cook books to get ideas.
Sometimes I have the ingredients and sometimes I swap out some ingredients for something else I do have.
Usually I have sausage but this time I didn't and went with the chipped beef for something different for breakfast.

Have you ever wondered who decided what foods
should be eaten just for breakfast?
I have always wondered that.

Sometimes I like to make breakfast for supper for a change.
Just because it's pancakes, bacon, eggs and sausage links
doesn't mean you have to eat them just for breakfast!
We eat Pop Tarts and dry cereal for snacks sometimes!
