12-15-09 BAKING & BURN

My burn feels much better today! Now yesterday I had to make a couple trips to the kitchen sink when it started burning. It would feel better for awhile then start up again. What a pain it was to get on the computer when my right forearm would touch the edge of the desk when using the mouse. Yesterday it was a big red blob. But today you can clearly see where my forearm touched the corner of my metal baking dish.

Tonight I made two batches of bacon wrapped smoked weenies. A round for supper and another round for Tony's pot luck tomorrow. I made baked beans and set the weenies on top in the crock.

Then I gathered up Tony's work gift exchange present and got it all boxed and wrapped up. Santa cookie jar filled with hot chocolate packages, small hazelnut coffee, microwave popcorn, candy cane white fudge, chocolate chips and marshmallows.
Then I added a car travel mug that plugs into a cigarette lighter and keeps your drinks warm.
Total cost for everything was just under $9.00.

Then I made walnut brownies and covered them with fudge. For the true chocoholic!

12-15-09 WORK CHRISTMAS GIFT

Went shopping today and had no clue as to what to get for Tony's gift exchange. There was no price limit and it had to be for either a female or male. After browsing stores this is what I came up with:

Large santa cookie jar (free from mom)
inside cookie jar I will put these items:
-$6.00 car heated plug in travel mug from Dollar General
-$1.00 for 3 packs of microwave popcorn
-3 packs of hot chocolate .39 cents
-bag of mini marshmallows & chocolate chips .40 cents
-homemade cookies .99 cents for Nestle Toll House
-and I might throw in some free coffee samples I have

TOTAL PRICE: $8.78

I'll get photos later on this evening when I get it all put together.
I feel $10 or less is reasonable for a work gift exchange.
Can't wait to get the feedback on this from whoever gets it.
