Glade's Common Sense & Spray

I told you about my deal on the
Glade Sense and Sprays from Walgreens
last week.

Well I decided to put one of those in my
bathroom yesterday. These motion sprayers
spray directly out the top instead of horizontal
like the air wick ones.

I'm sitting here yesterday when Jonathan comes
screaming out of the bathroom. He hit the spray
boost on the sense & spray and got sprayed in
his eyes. That was not a fun experience at all!
He knocked it into the toilet when blinded
by the spray.
So now I am attempting to dry it out to see
if it will work once again.
I am happy to report Jonathan is ok.

Well we splurged today and bought us a
brand new sofa!!!

In 11 years time we have only bought 3 pieces of
brand new furniture; a queen foot and headboard (set),
a kitchen table/chairs and now a sofa.

We headed over to Value City Furniture
and looked at a couch we viewed online
on their website.
To our surprise they
had it marked $100 less!!
It retails for $900,
was $399
marked down today only for $299!!

We did splurge a little further and
got a warranty and the scotch guard with it.
If this sofa should rip, show wear, break,
stain or fall apart then it will either be fixed
or replaced with new for the next 7 years!
I worried so much about getting a new sofa
and having the kids destroy it. So with this
I have peace of mind!!

While we could have paid for it in full
we went with a layaway.
Reason being is we want to paint our living
room before bringing the couch home.

I still would like to stay with Tuscan colors
and paint the walls a yellow color.
When you have lived in an apartment most
your life looking at sterile white walls
you yearn for color! Now that I have
my own house I'm ready for something a
little dramatic!
Something about the color of this flower.

And I am already searching for fabric to make
window treatment, lol. Love Ebay for the fabric selection.
I like this one.

I found this tutorial about how to make
kids pants out of the sleeves of a sweater
or sweatshirt. What a nifty idea!

At the moment I am working on Spring cleaning
and getting the house weeded of clutter.
Picking out a sofa today has only
inspired me to work harder at Spring cleaning!

I finally got our water cooler I purchased
at the thrift store for $12 up and running this eve.
So far it seems to be working and the water is
really cold. This will come in so handy on those
hot days this Summer. No making ice
cubes constantly and having to pour drinks for the kids.
I don't trust them to pour from pitchers themselves.
I still have flashbacks of having a freshly made
pitcher of red Kool Aid sitting in the fridge
that spilled everywhere!!

Tonight I tripped over the damn dog who loves to
lay in the doorway to the kitchen.
That hurt like hell. My toes on my left foot
hurt sooo bad and now my neck and knee hurts.
Can't wait til morning to see what else hurts.

The kids have been talking about wanting to put
the bunk beds together and having one room.
I'm gonna wait this out a little just to be sure
this is something they really want before
I start moving a bed from one room to another.

If they do decide they want to I might move my
desk into the other room and make me a small
office area, something I so desperately need.
Finding a place other than the kitchen table
in this small house has been a problem. I have
run out of ideas but ever since the kids started
talking about bunk beds the light clicked on in
my head.

Tonight's supper

CHILI CHEESE FRIES

I gotta stop watching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
on the Food channel, LOL. I would love to be
Guy and be able to go around and taste test food
at all those little hole in the wall places!!

I get hungry every dang time I watch that show.
The last show I watched had Chili Cheese Fries
and I was craving it!!

About 1.5 to 2 lbs french fries $2.00
can of Chili No Beans $2.00
Velveeta Cheese .40 cents

TOTAL COST TO MAKE $4.40
Serves 4 @ $1.20 a serving

Here's my fries. I had to add banana peppers to mine, LOL.
