10:30am

Tony's still in St Anns.
His leg still hurts and is still red and swollen.
The doctors are going to come in
today to see if they need to drain the
fluid from his knee area to reduce
the swelling.
So at the moment I am guessing
he won't be coming home today
with no improvements.

Last night in the waiting room was
a family who was in tears including
small children.
I don't know if anyone saw on the news
that North of Johnstown (I think)
a lady went left of center and ran head
on with a tanker truck. She was a grandma
and had died at the accident.
She had her 5 year old grandson with her
who was rushed to St. Anns.
He was then life flighted over to Children's
where he is on life support.
I guess the grandfather was following behind
in another vehicle and saw the
accident happen.
Can you imagine seeing that happen.
You would be traumatized for life!
So if ever you think you've got it bad
there is someone worse off than you are!!

Tony's mom says she's gonna visit him today.
Says she read about cellulitis online
and printed it out for him to read.
Don't know why as we know what it is,
and this is the second time we've dealt
with it. Because if we didn't know what it
was we'd still be sitting at home
listening to the family doctor and urgent care
doctors advice and taking their meds!

I think at around 2pm today will be a full
day of having antibiotics run through the IV.
You would think you would start seeing
some improvements.
They won't let him have any of the prescription
medicines we brought in.
Don't know if they think they are tainted or what
but they've been giving him ones from their
pharmacy.

11:30am

I should be getting myself and the kids
ready to head up to St. Anns.
We need to stop by Krogers on the way
to get him some real food to take up there to eat.
You know how hospital food can be, lol.
No doctors have come in to see him
yet today, only nurses. I wonder if
his family doctor show up and make
an appearance to check out his patient, ha ha ha.
That's when I'd like to do the finger pointing
and say, there's the doctor that doesn't
know what he's doing.
I just wonder if the family doctor had put him
on antibiotics Monday if we'd be going through
this crap at the moment!!!

2:10pm

Just back from the hospital.
Tony said on top of getting his
diabetic medicine orally they've also
been giving him insulin shots in the
arms and stomach.
His knee/leg redness has gone down slightly.
Lets say yesterday it was as red as a cherry
and today it's red like a strawberry to give you
that kind of visual.
His mom and dad and a friend from
work are supposed to visit him also
this afternoon.
I haven't seen them replace the antibiotic
bag on the IV which was empty since yesterday evening.
His family doctor has yet to make a visit.
Another doctor from the hospital
came in this morning and said
they didn't feel the need to drain
any fluid/infection in his knee area.

For those who don't know what
Cellulitis is or has never heard of it
you can read more about it HERE.

3:40pm

Tony's parents are at the hospital with him.

4:45pm

Tony's parents left about a half hour ago.
Now his friend from work is on
his way up there with a pizza for him.

We are eating supper at the moment
then will head back up to the hospital
around 6-6:30pm.

I am so tired. Don't know if it's
because I don't have much of an appetite
or the running back and forth to the hospital
or stress.
It don't feel right being the weekend
and it's been just me and the kids
here by ourselves.
At least they haven't given me
much trouble.

4:50pm

Tony's friend & coworker is at the
hospital now. He brought him a
pizza! Much better than hospital food
that's for sure!
I'm sure other patients can smell
it and are jealous!

7:40pm

Back from the hospital.
He was almost done with his second bag
of antibiotics.
The redness is still there but slightly less
from yesterday.
Our friend from work was also there
visiting when we stopped in.
I told you he was also receiving
insulin shots but I guess they
are giving him shots in his belly as well
to prevent any blood clots.
They gave him one while we were there
and I couldn't look.
Still don't know when he will come home :0(
I am so tired so are hoping
to head to bed in the near future!
