9-2-10

From 8:30-1:00PM

Me and mom snuck out to my aunts
to make a surprise visit.
She's having a yard sale today,
tomorrow and Saturday.

We had lunch and fun gabbing.

My aunt said we could have whatever
we wanted. She had like a gazillion
sewing patterns at her yard sale.
There had to of been 1,000 or more!
She had closed out her Ebay store
and was selling each one for .20 cents
each which is a heck of a deal
when compared to buying a new pattern
for $5 to $20 each!!

My aunt and uncle wanted lunch
and wanted to know if we'd go
to McDonald's and get them
a couple quarter pounders.
It just so happened I had coupons
for quarter pounders for buy 1
get 1 free. So it was like
they bought their sandwiches
and me and mom got a couple
free. LOL. You know me I carry
coupons everywhere I go!

Anyway here's the items I picked out
that she gave me FREE!

a 3 way pot with 2 strainers on top.

11 sewing patterns

A bag of undies. They are little
big for me but no problem.
If you look at the photo above
there is a pattern for undies
I can use to reconstruct these
to wear by using the bag of undies
and all the parts from them.

These mirrored window shelves.
Got these because they seemed
to mimic the one window pane
I have hanging over my couch.
I put these in the dining
room to help it look bigger
in there by reflecting the light
from the living room window from
the opposite wall.

I almost missed these. But spotted
them on my way out to the truck
when going home. They are 4 hinges
that I think would work perfectly
on our driveway gate!!

Thank you aunt Janet for all
the goodies. I will be sure
to put everything to good use!

3:30-4:00PM

Whew it's hot out there. I walked
down to the bus stop.
The forecast says tonight
and tomorrow thunderstorms
and a high of 76!.
I'll take it!
Then for this weekend:
Saturday 68
Sunday 73
Monday 82

Perfect weekend to go to
the sweetcorn fest.
It says windy for Saturday.
Is that because of
Hurricane Earl on the East
coast? Hope it ain't nothing
like Hurricane Ike!

4:05PM

Why does it seem like every day
at this time throughout the
evening my body starts to ache
and hurt like crazy?

Well I'm going to get a few
Ibuprofen and take my D3.

Just did a few more surveys.
In three weeks time with this
one survey site I have accumulated
$20. That's pretty darn good compared
to the others I do. You can cash
out after making $5.00. I'm just
gonna let it build up for awhile.

I don't think I have any
plans for tomorrow. I have
all my shopping done for
the week and don't plan to
look for any yard sales as
they have been sucking on
Friday's here lately.

So guess I'll stay home
and get my bills done for
the next month. Plus I need
to start planning meals.
I really need to take an
inventory of what is in the pantry
and freezers and keep the list
on my fridge door so I know
what I have to work with.

Here's what I came up with so far.
I gotta type this down (write this down)
or I'll forget which is another
reason for having my blog.
Easier to find any notes I take.
I got enough paperwork around
here like bills, sales ads
and coupons.

#1 Fried taters, onions, cabbage
& cheddar smoked sausage.

#2 Cabbage Roll Soup
I don't have any rice so will use
a La Choy Meal Creations with rice in it.
Then add a can of diced tomatoes,
a can or 2 of tomato soup,
1/2 head of cabbage, chicken or
beef broth, diced celery, garlic
powder, salt & pepper.
If there is any remaining leftovers
from the fried cabbage from meal #1
I'll throw it in the soup also.

#3 Ham & potato soup

#4 Penne Pasta & Smoked Sausage

#5 Stuffed chicken breast
wrapped in bacon

#6 Sweet Italian Bread Pizza
with cut up Chicken strips

#7 Tuna & Fettucini Noodle Casserole

#8 Tilapia Fillets marinated
in Italian dressing then breaded.
Cook in crock pot. Corn on the cob.

Thanks Kendra for sending me this link!
Now I'll have to put my mind to work

Well it's 9:05PM and I'm tired.
1 kid down and 1 to go in the
