Got all my dishes done this morning.
Here was my idea for drying all my
baggies, and I had allot this week.
I reused a pizza box
and poked skewers into it to hang
my baggies from so they could dry.

12:00-5:30PM

Did some yard sales and metal detected at
the far end of Hoover.
Didn't find much with metal detector
other than pop and sardine cans.
But did find a boat anchor
and a couple old Pepsi bottles.

Here's what I got at

yard sales:

Dress shirt for Tony for the wedding.
Will wash up and iron.
Sonoma brand.
The lady had $2.00 on it
I offered $1.00 and got it for that.
.
Only found one thing as a wedding
present. Still might find something else
to go with it.
Silver plated candle holder.
They wanted $3.00
I offered $2.00 and got it for that.
.
4 candle/candy molds .35 cents all.
Might make up some scented molded
candles and put in the candle holder above.
Use the vanilla Yankee candle below I got for .50 cents
or the smaller candle for .10 cents.
.
..
6 mini baking tins.
cost: .15 cents all.
Small containers.
Red ones with swivel storage base .50 cents for all.
Blue ones were $1.00 for all.
I need small storage containers
for lunches to put dips or
veggies like carrot sticks or apple slices in.
3 Large NASCAR collectible cars.
all 3 for $2.00! or .67 cents each!!
Got a package deal for buying more than one.
They were originally $1.00 each.
Putting these back for Tony for Christmas.
AC Delco car on Ebay for $20!
Polar Bear car on Ebay for $80!
Superman truck on Ebay $65!
Plaster type birdbath $2.00.

Got Jonathan's room swept
and part of hallway.
Put my stuff away from yard sales.
Packaged up all my hamburger
into freezer bags and put into freezer.
Then started supper.

Supper:

4 mini meatloaves-
added homemade Italian breadcrumbs,
onions, egg & cream of mushroom soup.
Poked holes into bottoms of
4 mini loaf pans.
Filled with meatloaf mixture
& topped with a half piece of turkey bacon.
Placed mini loaf pans on wire tray and
placed tray on cookie sheet to
catch excess fat from hamburger.

Sides:
Corn with butter & a teaspoon Splenda.
4 cheese mashed potatoes.
biscuits.
country gravy.

Here's the mini meatloaves before
going into oven:

Tony got the yard weed whipped,
grass cut and sucked up any leaves
with leaf blower (it's a leaf sucker in reverse).
While supper was cooking
I decided to start making
shaped tarts, like candles without
the wick.
.
.
Ate supper. It was yummy like
something from Tee-Jays!
Love the down home cookin!
Each mini loaf was 2 servings
so this meal served 8.

Have an old sweater you don't want anymore?
Turn it into sweater mittens!
I don't see why you couldn't also
use fleece type fabric to make these.
Go HERE for instructions
and patterns.
There's patterns for:
infant- does not include thumb
small child,
medium child,
large child/small adult,
adult regular

-------

With Winter around the corner,
you may want to start making
scarves, hats and gloves.
Fleece is about the best fabric to use.
BUT it can be expensive to buy.
JoAnns has it from $4 to about $15 A YARD!!
This week at Walgreens with a coupon
from their sale's flier
you can get a fleece blanket that's 50" x 60"
for only $1.99!!
That's about 1.38 yards!
So if you really wanted to make
your own Winter gear this would
be the route to go for buying fabric.
Unless of course you could find a cheaper
fleece blanket at the thrift store but
I think it would run about the same price.

Just popped out the first batch of
tarts. They're not too hard to make.
I already melt my candles in a potpourri
pot so I just spooned the melted wax
into the molds and allowed them to harden.
This was a trial run so I just used
the wax I already had in the pot.
Tomorrow will clean the pot out
and put in some pink smelly candles
and make them into rose shaped tarts.
