I am new to learning how Walgreens works.
I have been researching how register rewards work
and how you can use them to purchase other items.

Register Rewards are considered manufacturers' coupons. Because these are the promotional offerings of manufacturers, Walgreens treats these as manufacturers' coupons. Therefore, you cannot use a manufacturer coupon AND a Register Rewards coupon in the purchase of 1 item. You must have at least as many items as manufacturer coupons. Sometimes you might need to purchase a small filler item to make the transaction work (such as a pencil, candy, etc.).

Transaction #2

Tylenol PM 24 count
regular $5.49
I paid .69 cents

Transaction #3

Tylenol PM 24 count
regular $5.49
I paid .69 cents

The Tylenols were not easy to do.
The cashiers kept telling me I could
not use my coupon on a trial size Tylenol.
Excuse me but this 24 count bottle
of Tylenol IS NOT TRIAL SIZE!
I won my battle with that.
Regular $5.49 for a trial size, give me a break!
Come on now trial sizes shouldn't be more
than a buck or two. Who were they trying to kid!

Transactions #1-#3 photo with receipt

Transaction #4
SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST!!
THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE DONE SO FAR WITH COUPONING!!

BEFORE PRICE $43.53

Regular price of everything before
any buy 1 get 1 sales was $63.09
This is not noted on the receipt.

PRICE I PAID .03 cents as in 3 measly pennies!!!

Here is what I got on the last transaction at Walgreens.
While I only paid .03 cents for everything I show what all the regular
prices of each items was before sales and coupons.
Big time savings!!

Tylenol PM 24 count
reg. $5.49

2 Dentyne Gum 12 pack
reg. $1.29 x's 2 is $2.58

3 packages styrofoam plates
reg. $1.79 x's 3 is $5.37

2 Starbuck frappaccinos

1 Easter pencil
.39 cents

4 bottles of 50 ounce Purex
reg. $5.99 x's 4 is $23.96
This was another one that is not easy to do.
I had to argue with a manager along side
of the cashier. My head was spinning!
I originally had 6 bottles but had
them take 2 off. Might still try
to get another 2 bottles at another
Walgreens.

4 bottles of Suavitel
reg. $2.79 x's 4 is $11.16

Tomorrow along with Meijer I will be tagging along
with mom to Walmarts.

Walmarts will price match sales from other stores.
So I am going to try this tomorrow.

If you have a Big Lots nearby, you’ll be excited to know that you can score an awesome bargain by price matching their ad! Starting tomorrow, 2/28-3/6, Big Lots will have All 2X, 50 oz. laundry detergent advertised 2/$5! Head on over to Walmart or Target with your local Big Lots ad and do a price match. They should be able to honor the 2/$5 advertised price. …AND to sweeten this deal even further, use two $2/1 coupons from the 2/7 RP. Your final cost will be just $0.50 per detergent! What an awesome deal! (hip 2 save)

I have been doing coupons now for a little over a year.
I am always learning new ways to save money while grocery
shopping.

This week I am learning how to use register rewards
and how to price match with store ads.

While Walmarts will do this, I don't think
Meijer or Kroger will.
Target I believe will also price match
other stores sales.

I haven't gotten anything off Freecycle lately.
Today I seen a post come across for 3 free
Sprint phones with chargers and my good friend picked them
up for me since they were on her end of town.
Will post pics tomorrow after she drops them off.

I don't need any fancy phone. One that calls out
and people are able to call in, plain as that.

We pay $10 each a month on our phones for a total
of $20 a month because we got on our mom's family
plan. You can't beat that to call and talk Sprint
to Sprint free. Plus between 4 phones we get
700 minutes to call anyone. It's free minutes
after 7pm and free minutes Saturday and Sunday.

Total cost for 4 family members is around $90 a month.
Mom and my step dad pays for their original $70
they signed up for then added each of our 2 phones
for an additional $20 ($10 each phone). So that
is how we get our cell phones so cheap each month.

So ask family or friends if you can join them on their
plans to keep your costs way down on your cell
phone bills.

Sprint will add a total of 5 lines
for $99.96

This is our plan

Talk for Family
Plan Summary

Monthly Price
700 Shared Minutes $69.99
Line 1 included in monthly price
Line 2 included in monthly price
Line 3 $9.99
Line 4 $9.99
Total for 4 shared lines $89.97

Winding down the evening looking at photos from
last year. Here's a rewind of last years
deals and things we've done to cut back.

paid .54 cents total for everything in photo.

my pantry
used old cupboards we got free at hubby's
work to store the overflow of groceries in
the basement.

Paid $15.21 for everything seen in photo.

3 55 gallon water barrels we made last year.
They catch rain water from the roof to water
flowers and the veggie garden.
Found the barrels on Craigslist for I think about $5 each.
I painted them with leftover house paint to match
the house.
We used scrap wood someone gave us for free along
with lattice to make the stand for the barrels.

I saved about $40 a month by hanging up all
my laundry outside instead of using the dryer.

Last year we had a hanging garden.
Found hanging flower baskets at the flea market
for .25 cents each.
We got the gazebo free of freecyle. The canvas was
torn in a wind storm so recycled the frame
for our hanging garden.

5 packs of chicken $5.00 ($1.00 each)

Paid $19.32 for 29.61lbs of chicken breasts
.65 cents a pound

Paid $24.61 for everything.

Paid $9.08 for everything.

Paid $10.72 for everything.

Paid $6.48 for 24 bottles of pop. Not all are shown
in photo because I had given some away.
