Splurged and bought some hamburger today.
Figured a way to stretch it out by making
crock pot salisbury steaks.

Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles
or even on rolls like a mini slider sandwich.

Here's another salisbury steak recipe
you can do in the skillet.

Salisbury Steak

1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

In a large bowl, mix together 1/3 cup condensed French onion soup with ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt and black pepper. Shape into 6 oval patties.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown both sides of patties. Pour off excess fat.

In a small bowl, blend flour and remaining soup until smooth. Mix in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder. Pour over meat in skillet. Cover, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Found this recipe for homemade White Castle burgers.
Might use the other half of my hamburger
to make up some of these and make up a batch
of homemade rolls to put them on.

Found a soap bucket to put kitty's food in.
It was actually the one I had the dog's food
in but transferred it over to a tote.

Homemade Instant Oatmeal Mix

1 - 18oz container quick cooking oats
1/3 - cup dry powdered milk
1/2 - cup packed brown sugar
1 - 2 tsp cinnamon
1 - cup raisins or dried fruits

Mix all of the ingredients together and store in a airtight container. Label the container with the directions on how to prepare the oatmeal. Yields 16 servings

To prepare oatmeal: scoop 1/2 cup oatmeal into a bowl and mix with 1/2 cup water. You may need a bit more water if you like you oatmeal thinner. Microwave on high for 1 minute stir and enjoy.
