Heading to Walgreens & Meijers this morning.

------------------------------------

Trident just released a new gum coupon. “Like” them on Facebook, then click on the “Trident Layers” tab to print a $0.75/1 Trident Layers gum coupon. Trident gum often goes on sale for $0.99 or less, so this coupon should make for a sweet deal!

From Hip2Save

Just got 2 coupons printed and didn't have

to Like Trident on Facebook to get it.

Just in time to take to Meijers with me :0)

Double coupons means $1.50 off 1 pack

so should be really cheap or even free!

Will let you know how my shopping trips

turn out once I get back.

----------------------------------

I was telling mom yesterday how I cut back

on paper towels. I only buy a roll of paper towels

to have around to clean mirrors, house & car windows.

For everything else I have a laundry basket

under my kitchen sink full of rags for cleaning

and wiping up spills.

When we go out to eat we usually pick up one

too many napkins so I started saving the leftovers

in a zippered cosmetics bag in my purse

along with a small bottle of hand sanitizer.

When out and about and I need to wipe

a face, blow a nose or clean something then I just

grab those napkins I've been saving in my purse.

..---------------------------------------------

10:30AM

.WALGREENS

..----------------------------------

Tony calls me this morning saying he found

a pet for the kids. It was left in one of

the laundry rooms at the apartment complex.

I turned it down real quick and didn't want anything

to do with it. Just the thought of it made me

cringe and get goosebumps!

So do ya really wanna know what the

maintenance guys found??? huh huh???

Got goosebumps thinking about it!

Someone left a glass aquarium in one

of the laundry rooms with a TARANTULA SPIDER

in it!!

Could you imagine something like that getting

out in the night finding it's way to your bed

and crawling across your face or other body

parts, ahhhhhhhhh!!!

--------------------------------

Here is a tip I read on Dollar Stretcher

to cut back on your electric bill.

I think I have actually heard Oprah

talk about this on one of her shows

so yes it does work!!

Plug everything into those power strips

and when not in use flip the switch and

turn everything off like when you go to work

or go to bed.

Cut Your Electric Bill

Power strips. My house is equipped with them in every room. The kitchen toaster, can opener, microwave, coffee pot and telephone are plugged into them. They do not need to be on all the time, and it saves a great deal of energy that way. The television and DVD player are also on a power strip, so when it is not in use, it is not drawing energy. The bedrooms have power strips for the cell phone cords and there is nothing on during the day in the rooms. My electric bill went from $175 a month to $78 and less each month. I had a bill for $51 one month with everything turned off.

-----------------------------

This is a tip of mine:

When buying socks, buy all the same color

and same kind!!

You don't know how much easier it

is to match up when doing laundry.

Plus when the dryer eats your socks

and some start to disappear save

those extra socks to match up to the identical ones

you already have that might have lost its mate also.

Got this in my email today.

Was considering taking the kids to Ci Ci's Friday.

I was hoping to get the $3.99 buffet deal but after checking

their web site I see that ended Oct. 3rd.

Wonder if I can print 2 of these, have Tony

go through with him and 1 kid and use one coupon

and me go through with the other kid and the other coupon.

It says limit 1 coupon per customer.

Doesn't hurt to ask when I get there!

But now that I think about it you have to buy additional

drinks for an adult meal and kids meals drinks

are included. We could always order 2 drinks

and 2 waters, end up sharing the drinks.

Will have to price things when we get there.

You know not everyone has access to a microwave

while at work or school to heat their lunches in.

Thermos' are great for soups and such but

what if you wanted a hot sandwich?

I bought these SideShots Hot Pockets

for the kids lunches this week and was wondering

how they could eat them warm. I'm sure

they wouldn't taste too good cold!

So I got my creative mind a thinking.

I kept thinking about that pizza bag pizza delivery

guys use to deliver hot pizzas in so that was

what inspired this idea of mine.

I took some leftover fleece I had and sewed

it into a pocket then lined with some

aluminum foil.

Tomorrow morning I will warm up

those Hot Pockets and wrap with

additional aluminum foil and put

in these pouches in their lunch bags.

These little, what I'll call,

Sandwich Wraps,

will act as a heat insulator and keep

those little sandwiches warm til lunch time!

Whaddya think about my new invention? LOL!

.I might make a couple more big enough

for water bottles for their lunch to help

keep them colder!

Hey I think I'm onto something here!

Those little pouches would be good for

hot dogs, hamburgers, subs and so on.

Once I find some buttons I will make

it so you could fold the flap over.

You could also use aluminum tape

to line the insides of the pouch with.

FYI

IMPORTANT!!

Someone has hacked into my email account

earlier this morning and sent everyone on my list

emails from me. Don't open them!!

I did not send out any emails today!!

I am aware of this because it sent

an email to myself which showed

the rest of the emails it was also sent to.

The title said

"A Gift For Your Family"

If you're a friend or family member and are

on Facebook I will use that email for the time being

to send any emails.

I have changed my email password twice

and deleted and trashed and permanently deleted the

email again!

I got a red warning across my email from

Firefox saying there was an attempt

from China!!

This is why I love the Firefox browser

as it has all these features that go with it!

2 cans pumpkin,

6 cans sweet corn,

6 cans french cut green beans,

cream cheese,

have homemade noodles in the freezer,

and I already have a large turkey in the freezer!

Well today me and mom ended up
going to Kroger and another store called Deals.
I had never been to Deals before, located
in Westerville by Roush Hardware.
To me they are a cross between a Dollar Tree,
Dollar General and Family Dollar.
The only thing I got there was
Hawaiian Punch drink mixes for water $1.00 each
and a container of parmesan cheese for $2.50.

I got a few items.
I was trying to buy items for the kids
lunches that were more healthy for them
and had less sugar.

2 bananas to make peanut butter banana
tortilla roll ups for kids lunch .50 cents.

24 bottled water for $2.60
3 boxes 8 count sugar free Hawaiian Punch for water $1.00 each.
This was cheaper than Capri Sun juice pouches
which ran $1.90 for 10 pouches.
Those pouches contain about 18 grams
of sugar per serving compared to the water
and Hawaiian Punch that had no sugar in it.

I also bought a large jar of applesauce with
no added sugar. To buy the jar I got twice
as much applesauce compared to buying
the little individual serving sizes.
A regular or cinnamon applesauce
jar had 20 grams of sugar per serving!
With the no added sugar applesauce was
only 9 grams.
I also bought a small box of sugar free
strawberry jello .33 cents. I plan to empty
this pouch into the no sugar added applesauce
to make strawberry flavored applesauce.

Also bought some diet 2 liters of Big K pop
and a package of cookies.
I know cookies have the sugar but it's
ok in moderation.

My total bill was $13.28
BUT I didn't pay anything due
to using a gift card I had.
I had signed up for some kind of research/survey thing
through Kroger's pharmacy and they gave us
two $25 gift cards for doing it!
And ya know I don't even remember having
to do anything to get those cards!!
.
.

After shopping me, mom and my step-dad
went to Fazoli's Italian for lunch.
I had printed a coupon they sent me in my email
and we used that.
Our total bill came to $5.33!!!!!!
If it hadn't been for mom getting extra
cheese on both dishes it would have been $4.33!
Tax was .34 cents.
We got 3 waters free,
a large plate of spaghetti with extra cheese
and another dish of pepperoni spaghetti with extra cheese
and unlimited bread sticks!!!!
We split up everything between the three of
us and our bellies were stuffed when we got done!

--------------------------------------------

4:15pm

I got the strawberry applesauce made
along with 8 bottles of water with
Hawaiian Punch drink mixes.
It's so much easier to make things ahead of time!
.
...-----------------------------------

5:45PM

It's 55 degrees out at the moment,
cloudy and 14mph winds.
I hear a knock at the door.
It's truck driver neighbor's 2 girls
at the door asking for the boys to come out,
which they are not allowed at the moment.
One has shorts on and the other a little skirt
and neither have shoes on their feet.
And we wonder why we all get sick
this time of year when we can't dress
our kids appropriately!!

Tony is at the doctor's office,
an hour and a half later from the time
his appointment was, grrr.
Now they are sending him to
a specialist for his diabetic feet.
Have to wait to get the appointment.
Wonder how much that is gonna cost?
I swear family doctor's aren't too
knowledgeable when it comes
to diabetics as they really haven't done
much for him other than put him on pills
and run blood work!
He says he has severe pain in his feet
so they give him pain medicines.
You can't take these medicines and drive
let alone work as they make you feel loopy,
tired or lightheaded.
So what good are they other than to take
at home when planning to go nowhere??

6:00PM

Got supper on the stove.
We are having
Creamy Chicken & Noodles.
2 boxes chicken helper $1.00
1/4 bag already made chicken .05 cents
(remember I got like 3 family packs
chicken all for $1.29 so it was very cheap!)
5 slices of bread with butter .05 cents
(bread was .38 cents a loaf
and butter was free!)

$1.10 for 5 servings
@ .22 cents a serving

I also made up some chicken salad
for the kids lunches for tomorrow
with a little bit of the chicken from
above that I reserved and put aside
for lunches.
So they will have chicken salad sandwiches.

Gotta run to Kroger tonight after
supper to get Tony's prescriptions,
then start packing lunches,
unload dishwasher & put dishes away,
load dishwasher with dirty dishes,
hang and put away the remaining
load of clothes in the dryer,
throw some blankets in washer,
might do that tomorrow though
as I am trying to plan to hang them outside
Wednesday when the weather isn't calling for rain,
work on a grocery list and a plan
for Meijers and possibly Walgreens tomorrow.
I say plan as I see on my $2.00 coupons
from last week are only good
per transaction! Grrr!
So looks like I'm making a couple trips
through the checkout since the coupons
expire the 7th. Either that or make
another trip back tomorrow.
I can't let free $12 worth of coupons go to waste!
Sometime I need to find time to
clean house as it looks like a war zone in here!
I can't get ahead worth nothing
and if I do it looks like I never did anything!
So I can't win!

Homemade Simple coupon booklet with over
$35 in savings.

Takes 4-6 weeks to get.

----------------------------------------

Here's a suggestion for an upcoming
baby shower where they are possibly
serving chili.
I just now thought about this
as this was what we were having
for lunch today.
How about making chili bowls
for the chili and serving sides
such as onions, cheese, sour cream and
a bottle of Frank's Red Hot Sauce???

The bowls are really easy to make
with a can of regular size biscuits.
Kroger 8 count biscuits are $1.00
but today is the last day of that sale.
Remove biscuits from can,
lightly spray the backside
of a cupcake pan
and press the biscuits over
each cupcake part.
Bake according to directions.
Remove from pan and
spoon chili inside cups.
Kroger shredded cheese
is going back on sale starting tomorrow
for $1.00 a 2 cup package!
(reg. $2.99 each)

Watch for the sour cream to go
on sale for $1.00 also.

If you go HERE you can sign up
and are able to print 2 coupons Frank's Red Hot Sauce.
If you use the coupon doubled at
Meijers you can more than likely
get it for FREE!

10 cans biscuits $10 (1 chili bowl each, double for 2 each)
5 pkgs cheese $5.00 (about 1/4 cup per person)
2 tubs sour cream $2.00 (if it goes on sale)
3 onions, diced .60 cents
Hot sauce -Free
Someone else makes the chili- Free

Total cost to doodle up your chili
for a party of 80 people:
$17.60
for 40 people:
$9.60 to $10.60

You could bake the biscuit bowls
now and freeze.
Then rewarm in oven on about 200 degrees.

.
..
---------------------------------------

Well I no sooner got lunch done
and now time to throw supper in the
crock and a load of clothes in the washer.

Supper:
Tilapia in the crock
marinated with butter & Italian seasoning
Baked & seasoned potatoes
Cut potatoes into wedges then
coat with olive or canola oil
then shake in a large zip bag
with some flour & seasoning then bake 400 degrees
for about 30 minutes.

-----------------------------------------

3:20pm

Got the fish filets marinating.
Thinking about wrapping the filets
up in aluminum foil and baking them
along side of the potatoes in the oven.

2nd load of wash is in.
Another in the dryer.
And yet another I did the other day
got folded and hung up.

Now will work on getting the kids
lunches made for tomorrow
and plan a menu for them for
the rest of the week.

Thinking about pb&j roll ups.
-cut the crusts off bread slices.
Roll bread out with rolling pin
or the side of a glass.
Spread with a little peanut butter
then jelly.
Roll up like a jelly roll.
Then cut/slice into 4 pieces.
.

Well around 6:00pm

we're heading out to Hilliard to check out a TV

we saw on craigslist.

Our TV has broken buttons on it

but still works with the remote.

Christopher has a tv with no remote

and the volume down button won't work.

The volume is stuck on a louder than

normal setting than I would prefer.

So we're giving him our tv, trashing his

and buying another used one for our room

with a remote.

I know I have owned our bedroom tv

for at least 16 years!!

Amazed it is still going!

And no siree, this new tv is not

an LCD.

Can't afford another one of those

just yet, not even a smaller one!

Because our radiator has started

leaking on the Suburban.

We noticed a puddle under

it Friday when eating at Taco Bell.

I don't want to know how

much another one costs! We bought

one for out tracker at $150 to $160 I think

and that was a tiny radiator compared to this one!

Went to Hilliard and got a tv.

Got about 1/4 of the way home

and realized the remote didn't

go with the tv so turned back around

to see if they had the correct remote

and they did.

Home now and still working on laundry,

getting tvs hooked up and moved around,

kids need to get their shower soon,

got lunches all ready to go for tomorrow.

Now need to lay clothes out for everyone.

Is it possible that one weekend go by

that we don't have to go anywhere

and do something?

Not sure if I'm going to the store tomorrow

or not. I really need to stay home

and get bills done!

Then Tuesday and later on this week

go to Meijer and Kroger.

The only thing I really need from Kroger

is pop and cheese.

Just got an email for Fazoli's

with a coupon. You would need

to sign up with them to receive

special offers in your email.

Anyway the printable coupon

is for a Free small spaghetti entree

with the purchase of an adult entree.

Wonder if those $3.99 deals are still going on

for spaghetti, ravioli or zitti?

If so I could take mom and my step-dad,

they split the $3.99 entree which is enough

for 2 people and includes bread sticks,

and I could have the free spaghetti.

We could drink water for free

or they could get a senior discount

for a soda for .50 cents.

Me and mom could split a refillable soda

and step dad could get one.

So for a total $4.99 I could

take the three of us out to eat

at an Italian restaurant.

9:00PM

Me and Tony are sitting here doing

an experiment. He has an electrical tester.

You're supposed to put the end of it to

a wire and if the wire has electric current it will beep like

crazy and won't beep if no electrical current.

Here's a scary thought, and I don't know why it

does it for only me as we tested the kids also,

when my hands are off the computer or mouse

the electrical tester does not beep when he puts

it to my shirt BUT when I touch the mouse or

lap tap and he touches my shirt it beeps like

crazy which says their is a small electrical current

running through my body from the computer!!

How do I know it's the computer setting it off

by only touching the tester to my shirt,

I kept removing my hand from the mouse

and it would beep only when touching the mouse,

not beep when I let go, then beep again when

touching the mouse again.

So think about that next time

you are on your computer and

what may be entering your body.

So maybe there is some truth behind

those stories told about cell phones

and them possibly be cancerous.

Scary thought!

Looking at my mouse and computer

a lil differently now!

No, I don't feel an shock from my computer

or tingling hands.

This next group of photos I will
leave at the bottom of the blog since
it is so long.
Any new posting for today will
be listed above these.

Stopped in Walmart yesterday
once we got into Logan.
We had to find a gift bag large
enough for the crock pot we got.
Check out what is parked
in a parking spot and tied
to the light pole!

The rain held off long enough for the wedding
to take place out doors, yeah.
But it rained during the reception
and for the drive home.

Me and Tony yesterday.
.
..

View of the backside of the lodge where
the reception took place.
The area we took the picture from
was a gazebo and deck.
There was an additional deck
off the lodge to the left of the photo.
.The lodge sat atop a hill
and there were many steps that
went to the bottom of a hill
where there was a field and stream.
All guests and wedding parties
had to go down these steps!
.
The field where the wedding took place.
.
.

The groom awaiting his bride.
.
The bride and groom lighting
remembrance candles
and combining unity sand.
I think it's something like
liking a unity candle.
.
Gotta love the zoom on my camera.
You'd of thought I was standing right
next to the bride when she was getting married
but was sitting about 3 rows back.
.

Her name was Sarah.

The groom's name was Randy.
He is a coworker of Tony's
and a friend of ours.
Now married and walking across the field.
.
Everyone who attended the wedding
was asked to walk over to the stream
and gather on the bridge for a photo.
Here is a picture of the bridge.
This view was from the gazebo
atop the hill.
.
Everyone trucking back up the steps
back to the Lodge for the reception.
Handicapped and elderly guests
got a lift by way of a golf cart or car
that drove around to the bottom to
take them back up.
.
The wedding cake.
.
The reception area.
.
.Other coworkers at our table.
Another maintenance man
and his wife.
.

The lady on the right works
in the office at Tony's work.
Not a good photo, lol.
We were playing a game with our
cameras taking pictures when others
didn't know it then passing the camera
around the table to laugh at them.
And this was one of them photos
where I caught them off guard, lol.
.
The bride and groom at the head table.
.
The cutting of the cake.
.
After this, photos were hard to get.
They had about 3 photographers
a camera man and family taking their
own photos.
So crowds gathered around
for feeding of the cake, dances, garter toss
and flower toss.
I gave up and put the camera away.

The video person went around
to each table asking everyone
to say something to the bride and groom.

Dinner was:
Marinated chicken with mushrooms,
Prime Rib,
Rolls, steamed green beans,
mashed potatoes, salad, rolls.
Served with beer, wine and pop.

Then there was appetizers
like an assortment of cheeses,
vegetables, truffles, cookies,
& chocolates.

The drive home wasn't fun at all!
Pitch black country side
with rain, newly paved blacktop roads
that reflected every light like a mirror,
fog, twists, turns & hills in the road,
and wipers that were really crappy!

We were so tired and I was achy
by the time we got home.
Any smoke breaks at the reception
were outside under a tent
(where the bar was)
and it was cold and rainy.
Once home I couldn't wait to get out
of my dressy clothes and into pj's and crawl into
bed with an electric blanket, ah!
We had left for Logan around noon
and got back at 9:00pm.
